If they were like that many would be happy enough.

It's so sad that Suzuki have such a big/little hit on it's hands with the Jimny and now more or less have to withdraw it from sale in the EU. It beggars belief that they didn't figure its high emissio

  • 6'6" and my wife is 5'11", we pulled on a Jimny like a coat.

I really like the SWB.

Just a pity every reviewer i have read or vid i have watched is quickly ignoring the rear seating arrangement with seats in place and limited boot space.

Obviously a bit more boot than a Jimny with seats up, but obviously not much.

So maybe it is a 3 seater or 1 rear and 2 & a 1/2 in the front with a rear seat folded so that luggage / stuff could be carried.

If a commercial with no rear seats the front jump seat will be fandabbydozy.

Good idea to push the button if opening a rear door, and a spare on the door does make it heavy, especially a big spare.

?

Where all journalists asked to not show the rear seats of a 90, (pre-production model!)

or to show getting in, and are there 3 seats and seat belts in the rear making it a 5 seater and with the 3 fronts actually a 6 seater?

EDIT.

Thomas does what others never bothered to do and show inside the rear of the 90. (102" wb)

Odd comment as usual though, short and will do for 5 people.  Rubber mat in the rear will sort out the slidy hard plastic in the £40,000 plus cars that seemed to be an issue / problem for some in an under £20,000 Jimny.

My 3.2 Auto SWB Shogun is getting better than the MPG's officially for the new Defenders.

Not that much more emissions either.

I built up the cheapest / poverty spec 110 that i could on the 'Build your own'.

So much extras / options to ignore and still i do not know what it would cost at the end of the build.

So the SWB can be a 6 seater,

just needs a trailer for carrying the luggage.

Just seen this post from George

Nice to see you back George, In the words of Dell Boy Trotter. " You know it makes sense "

I do like the white steel wheels :)

So do i.

& the options of 'All Season' or Offroad Tyres.  & so many options on every trinket.

It's probably the lesser of many evils, but it's a shame it's had to change so much. it feels to me like it's 'inherited the title' rather than earned it, if you see what I mean.

Still it does mean that (locking diffs aside) the Jimny can claim the vacant position on merit :)

Good friend of mine who owns a Freelander and Discovery gave me some free advice recently. He told me to never buy a Land Rover unless you like paying for repairs between services as both his cars are always having issues to resolve. He buys alot of cars from his customers as he paints cars/refurbish alloys for a living.;)

Excellent.

She puts the other road testers / reviewers to shame by knowing what she is actually reviewing and driving.

Start saving your many pennies now , if you spec as suggested here.

This new Ineos 4x4 sound intriguing. It sounds like it will be a bit more 'cheap G-Wagon' rather than X5 or Discovery.

High tech BMW straight sixes, silky smooth ZF 8 speed and 'non-independent' suspension with a ladder chassis and seperate body. It sounds very intriguing although I'm betting it will start around £40K 😞 Still the engines it is looking at are lovely and torquey and the ZF box is superb as long as they don't bugger about with the software :D  Is it worth 2 Jimnys though 🤔

I miss having a Land Rover & miss what my V8 could do like leaving an old Audi S3 for dead (when they were new...) from the traffic lights but it did sound like the one in the video while doing it. I had an autobox though.

I remember the series 2 LWB model we had at work. Needed similar space to a supertanker to turn around. I also remember smashing my knuckles off the centre consol every time I tried to select third gear .

Btw the guy in the video looks a lot older than 20! Must have been a stressful refit

Space was OK, just no heater ever. & demisting was absent as well, but the engine never overheated. LPG only, no petrol.

Did anybody see the WhatCar reliability by brand list?

Car up to 5 years old, last place: Land Rover

Cars more than 5 years old: Land Rover

:D

I love the Landie porn. I'd have given it 2 x 'likes' if it was allowed :)
