Hi All,

Does anyone have a dummies guide to the memory functions for the seat/mirrors and reversing mirror?

 

I start the car, adjust the seat accordingly, press the "set" button, then press and hold a memory button (2)

However after my wife adjusts it to her liking when I press my memory button the seat does not push backwards as expected. Why is this?

 

Secondly, how do I get the passenger side external mirror to point down when selecting reverse or is this only possible on drivers side?

You have to set the mirrorsetting in the memory.

 

Set your seats, push set, push 1, hear the bong and it's in the memory.

 

Then put your car in reverse, tilt the side mirror the way you want it to be, push set, push 1, hear the bong and it's in the memory.

 

Beware though if you have "move both mirrors at once" active in the maxidot, moving 1 mirror will affect the other. So de-select that feature to set the reversing mirror.

 

Can be set for the 3 memory settings individually, and matched to the keyfob. If you don't hear the bong, it's not saved! Works perfect on mine!

that seems to be what I am doing, but why does the seat not move backward when I activate the memory setting for me?

I think I have to keep holding the button for it to move back into that position, not just tap the button but hold it all the way.

 

Did you get the confirmation "bong" after pushing first set and then a number?

With ignition on you just press and let go the memory position button required.

with ignition off you press and hold the memory position button required

with the linked key set the seat will move to the correct position when the car is unlocked with that key and the drivers door is opened.
