Car mats

Featured Replies

I will soon need to replace my mats as they have discoloured and worn over time and even my trusty carpet cleaner can only do so much.

Skoda offer their mats which seem poor quality carpet and very expensive so I wondered what the rest of you have done.

Who offers the best mats to go with my ivory interior?

Martin

I have brought black mats for my ivory interiored superb. Seemed better for longevity. I brought a complete set for £24 off eBay, nice and thick and well made.

I have the black carpet genuine Skoda mats with 'Superb' embroided on them.

They seem pretty good quality to me and at £30 can't complain about the price either.

My Skoda ones like silver1011's above lasted longer than the lease company supplied ones!

During the warm / dry months I use the Skoda carpet mats but pretty soon I'll be replacing them with the Skoda rubber ones which I find very good indeed.

Ultimatecarmats luxury range are good quality, and double thickness on driver's heel. Nicer quality than the official skoda mats They also do an ultimate range, which is seriously thick.

What dealer do you use as mine said they are individually priced and a full set of genuine Skoda mats would be over £130 and that was with a 15% discount. They had nothing written on them but all had Skoda part numbers.

I got mine from the Skoda dealership for £37 for the full set of four black velour mats. Granted they are only six months old or abouts, but still look like new. £130 for a set, ouch. Do you have a TMS in your area, they do genuine parts for all the VAG cars. I'm not sure of the code for the mats or for the colour (they should be able to help if you go in, in person and give them the details) you want but they are almost always cheaper than the dealership prices.

Good to know...... Got one two miles away.

I mainly go to TMS for bulbs - usually a fifth of the Halfords price, in my experience.

Anyone have experience of the towequipe luxury mats? Can they be worth £86.20?

Great shout on those ultimate mats. Reasonable price for what looks like a great product!

Think the dealer that is quoting you £130 is either ripping you off or is incompetent. Dealer mats shouldn't be more than 45 quid for all four. Couple of dealers online who will sell you mats if you can't get to another dealer.

The Skoda mats are tailored to fit the car.

This is worth more to me than ones that may last a bit longer but curl up at the edges, overlap the accelerator pedal, get caughtr under the clutch pedal, slide about when you get in and out, have a weird looking patch in the middle etc. etc.

Even non-genuine ones that claim to fit specific models are rarely as good a fit as genuine.

Here you go, keep it simple and hassle free, carpet or rubber, both less than £40...

Looks like the ultimate mats are tailored, and I reckon having some extra extra deep pile really suits the car. Certainly makes up for the poor standard carpets!

I bought the ultimate mats for my b6 passat before I had the combi. I actually now use them underneath the genuine skoda superb mats that came with my car, as a bit of extra sound deadening on all but the driver's mat. They are tailored, and side-by-side against the genuine skoda mats, the ultimates win hands down. SWMBO bought some for her car. Seller's communication isn't great, but the product is.

The standard Skoda mats are good and last well.

My drivers mat is just starting to look ropey after 12 months and 48,000 miles.
