Too late to add heated screenoption?

Featured Replies

I ordered my vrs about 3weeks ago but have since thought how useful the heated windscreen would be and at £200 isnt bad......would i be able to add this to my order or would it be too late at factory?

In reality i would have thought the windscreens are towards end of build so fitting heated one shouldnt be problem.

Gonna ring dealer tomoz.

I added windscreen and heated washer jets plus canton sound 2-3 weeks after ordering.

You will need to order heated windscreen and washer jets as they can't be ordered individually

I think you'll find if you add the heated screen you have to have the jets and heated seats. Its essentially a £440 "winter pack". I think you can have heated seats on their own, also if you choose leather heated seats becomes mandatory.

Due to a lower powered alternator the TSi cant have the heated screen and washer jets, heated seats only i believe.

If your car has been allocated a build week it may be too late to amend the order

Only way to find out is to contact your dealer. If it hasn't reached a certain stage in the build process it will be fine (there is a period where changes can be made, then a point where all components are then available for you chosen car, an then the final lock down just before the build is to commence).

Some points to note though;

Heated screen is only available on the diesel.

Heated screen as said is only available with heated washer jets and heated seats, so the total cost is £430. Having had heated screens in previous Ford's though I believe it is well worth the expense.

You can have heated seats and washers as two separate options, but as I posted a while back you can't have the heated windscreen with a petrol engined car.
