Best cleaning products?

Recommended Posts

I'm determined to keep my new Octy clean when it arrives. I never wash the outside of the car myself but this is something I want to start to do.

What products and methods can you guys recommend?

Also what is best used inside on the windows and dash?

Thanks

Get your self into detailing world forum.

There is every guide imaginable from pre wash decontamination through to the 2 bucket wash method and finishing.

Lots to read but will ensure you keep the motor looking like new !!

thetes also loads of info in the styling and car care section. The method is more important than whether you use one wax or sealer over another.

A decent jet was, use of snow foam by a propper applicator a ph neutral shampoo using the 2 bucket method with a micro fibre or lambswoll washmit and microfibre drying towels is how you should clean the car. A decent re wax every 6 monthd and the use of a quick detailing spray each time you shampoo will help and dont forget the alloys. use bilberry cleaner to keep them clean with a decent non metalic wheel brush and apply a sealer such as gteknic or bilberry every 6 months. don't use an acid based wheel cleaner as they eat inti the laquer. I have the valeter on stand by with GTechniq TSP complete, inc C1 and EXO v2. Just waiting for the car ! Dealer has been told not to touch the bodywork, and agreed. I already have the G wash, and C1.5v2 Silo Seal to give that extra finish once washed. Youtube it, awesome product.

Same route as me although I'm the detailer haha, dealer have been more than happy to not touch the car and leave me to it. Looking forward to getting the paintwork perfect before applying the Gtechniq goodies.
