A minor technicality... :bandit:

For me, just having people to play with has made it infinitely more fun.

When I had a PS3 no one I knew had GTA on PS3, they were all XBox, so I had to do all my online play with randoms which (as we all know what random GTA Online players are like) was pretty much hell. Luckily everyone I know who's gone next-gen picked a PS4, so it's easier to play without wanting to kill myself.

I can imagine, however, that heists are the worst thing ever if you don't have a set of 3+ mates who are reasonably reliable.

I love that feeling :D

Also there are 2 exits to the bank did you know?

Yes but i think you have to go out that 1 door, might be wrong.

You now have people to do that for you!:punch:

Online is definitely all about the people you play with - can make the difference between boredom and being sore from laughing so much!

The moment of the 4th person joining a heist is so much better when it is someone you know!

Ouch - thats gotta hurt the finances.

How the hell that bike is worth $750k I do not know - I doubt I would have paid the $75K even with the KERS boost!

Well I have heists to do still so if your bored ;)

Came off early last night as it just kept kicking me out your game so thought sod it, i'll go on Netflix....i'll be on this evening and rs939 we'll do your heists if you like?

I'll be on tonight until about 9 and then tomorrow night at about 10-11.

Should be on tonight from about 7 until about 9.

I might be on later tonight, going out for drink after work tonight :)

Should have mentioned I found a youtube video about the Pacific Bank heist - the suggestions basically involved a few main items for maximum cash (not speed):

  • The crowd control shooters being the only ones out of the bank, shooting with rifles and shotguns until they had cleared an area (at which point the bag men come out and follow behind them doing virtually no shooting) which means more money left when you get to the bikes.
  • At no point should the bag men catch up to the shooters as it doesn't matter if the shooters get hit for the money but the bag men getting hit does lose money (there are a couple of police spawn behind the shooters (in the alleyway) but they can be caught quickly if the shooters are watching the maps.
  • Using additional vests (have a few spare in the inventory) and snacks (to boost health on route)
  • Only 2 vehicles are used - bikes or cars as there are a few cars that spawn in the parking IIRC. Possibly even a 4 seater (see point below)
  • Police are spawned in response to the first vehicle through so if you are the second vehicle and are delayed going past, you get a lot more police presence to deal with. So the players stick like glue to each other with the passengers doing as much shooting as possible
  • Staying off road as much as possible and using the train tracks (once that far along the route) as the police don't really go off road. Involves doubling back at one bit (the tunnel at the bridge in the mountains) in order to trigger the route update but keeps the police to a minimum on route
  • Once the tunnel is past, there are only a few police so taking your time is ok (unless you want the elite reward which means no deaths and doing it under 10.15)

^^^Pretty much what my link earlier says, apart from the car. I don't think there were any cars near the bikes though and the issue you have is no bullet proof tyres.

We'll be replaying the heists plenty of times though, with mine, Morts, Kilteds, Minibeasts, Swordfish, still to go.

This is obviously a huge thread so I apologise for not reading all the way through it - are there any recommendations for how to get games in GTA online when friends aren't about?  It seems just as bad as the 360 version which I gave up on as it seems near impossible to find a decent game, all the invitations seem to be to heists and any games I do get into there's usually only one other person who often just quits.

John

Hi john - add me: NifNaf87 also I would just leave the "Quick Job" open on your cell phone (middle left blue icon).
