PD in my rally car what are the tuning options

Cool picture of the jump... bet that landing was a bit rough!

According to my calculations (could be off lol) KW road coilovers run around 290lbs on the front but these are progressive. Kw clubsports (linear on the front) is 480lbs. On the mk2 kw road coilovers use 400lbs linear on the front.

Did you have to tell avo what damper rates you wanted or did they recommend? Thinking of getting some twin tube inserts.

I suspected 400lb would be close thanks for that, Yea I had a discussion with AVO about the spriing rates I would intend to use and the rough weight of the car etc and they did the rest, soft is very very soft probly softer than a std damper and hard is impossible to move with my arms lol I tend to test different rates and log how many flats on the adjuster nut from hard. I would recommend them definitely

Well finally had chance to check why the donor doesn't run, she would crank and start and run for 2 seconds, but wouldn't rev or anything.

The sump had 4 litres of diesel in so I was suspecting engine damage anyway but wanted to get it running so I didn't have to push it in and out of the workshop.

there was a fault code relating to crank sensor implausible signal in the ecu so I tried another sensor first, still the same so removed the sump to check the reluctor ring on the crank and found 7 teeth damaged on it from something rubbing against it..

turns out the motor must have pushed enough diesel/oil thru the breather to hydraulic no 4 cylinder and bend the con rod thus making the piston come further down the bore and catch the ring....

the head has bad wear around the injectors which was making them leak diesel into the oil, which I have a fix for as I won a brand new pd head on ebay for £112 on friday.

Are you going to repair it jim? Or just bin it and wait for another one to come along?

It has cracked the bottom of the bore Tom, so scrap now, there is a bottom end on ebay for £99 so I will buy that and build it up mate.
