As per the post. Annapurnas not yet 3 years old. No sign of it last time I washed them, but "appeared" today. What's the verdict?

    definitely corrosion/water getting under the lacquer!

    Not just VAG, it happens to all polished wheels eventually, you should have seen the state of the wheels on the Boxster when I sold it. The corrosion is unavoidable, since even the tiniest of chips is enough to set it off.

    In rhyming slang terms, they're definitely lacquered :(
