stage 2 n75

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Having the boost surging problems with my stage 2 Vrs in most gears. So looking to maybe change the n75 and see if that fixes it.

Which one do I get as I know there is a few I.e. H J etc

Or does anyone know if there is a way to test these?

Thanks guys

no expert on this but after doing a lot of reading up before i had my car stage 1 mapped, i believe you need to have this problem mapped out, i know r-tech where i had mine done  include it in the map

The standard N75 is all you require - the old part no. ended with an 'F' I seem to recall.

Some will say you need 'uprated' ones, or ones that allow the boost to spike more - that's b0110cks.   The OEM one is more than upto the job of stopping your engine from overboosting and exploding!

I don't understand why you would have the N75 mapped out?   It's there to prevent the engine overboosting and killing itself....

My old ml.1 Octavia ran over 400bhp on the OEM N75 without any problems.....

Sorry but that's a common mistake.

The N75 function is to bleed off boosted air away from the waste gate actuator in order to close the waste gate and allow the turbo to build boost pressure up to ECM requested values.

If you were to take the N75 out of the system altogether ie run a pipe straight from the turbo compressor outlet to the turbo waste gate all that would happen is the waste gate would open once boost pressure builds enough to overcome the waste gate return spring, which in turn would produce very low levels of turbo boost and result in one very slow vRS.
