I work for Llyods so I got it slightly better but the one I went with is

It's worth a look as swmbos needs renewing end of August

Rob, let me know nearer the time how many minutes and txts you want, I'll let you know the best deal I can find for you. I've done a few for another forum I'm on and just split the recommend a friend money so we both make a bit extra

all you need to do is phone up at the end of your contract and ask to cancel, they then ask why so you tell them about the best deal to suit you(don't lie because they do check) that other people are offering. then they will match it as best as possible and where they can improve as a sweetner :) happened two or three times now

I need a new number / renew...On voda 60 atm, but since I'll talk for 40 mins sometimes, this needs upping, avg bill is circa 40 quid thanks to the p900 chewing it's battery life and I keep forgetting to charge it.

So anytime/net say 100 to 200 would be good as I'll be using it uite a bit, + data + texts please :D

are you on contract col?? if you are then do the same mate it works a treat.

as said it does annoy me that they can these awesome deals but never offer them.

if you don't ask you don't get!

 I'm still paying
Nick, my mum is on a similar deal with Vodafone, she insisted it was a great deal too, but they are out there. When it comes up to renewal, best thing to do is pop down to a shop (any that sell mobiles), play with the phones until you like say 3 of them and post on here, someone will have found a good deal that you'll like

I'm very seldom bothered about the actual phone. I have an O2 X3 which I just acquired. It's pretty cr@p, but it was a free upgrade. However as I said I'm tied in til next April now, so no point worrying about it until then.

I note the offer you recommended to Colin while only 15 pcm for the first 12 months doubles after that, and after the 200 minutes are used up, the rates to other networks are astronomical. I guess they're all much of a muchness, and you pay in one area what you save in another.

Phone shop! never been in one! Full of kids who know more about phones than I do :P

Thanks for the advice though, it's appreciated, even if it doesn't sound like it from the above :)

Nick, the best way I've found is to look at your previous bills and add up how many minutes you roughly use a month, then add a little. And just use that figure as the basis of looking for a new contract.

Oh and always change your contract every 12 months. There may be a better deal out there and also, many people's lifestyle changes, so for me I tended to be upping my mintues from when I first got a mobile but now it's really low. It'll probably shoot up but that's why I change each year.

Oh and most phone shops shouldnt be scary if you can go during the week at all. Every one I've been in (bar 3) have been very professional and understanding that I want to make the best choice.

totally agree, try carphone warehouse. they tend to be nice airconditioned places where they don't talk nonsense at you and rather just ask what you want and how much you use the ohone and try and get the best one for you :)

all this started with a trip into carphone warehouse, the bloke said i should get a 3 because of the deals so i rang O2 to see when my contract was up and get my PAC code sent through and she matched the deal on the spot so i went for it. the was really cool and said he would have snapped her arm off too as its with a big reliable company but matching the cheap companies prices. he just said fair play and good luck

www.e2save.com mentioned above is owned by carphonewarehouse. I think the shops will give support and service even if you buy online (although they dont advertise this fact!)

I was on contract with T-mobile (had been for about 6 yrs with various upgrades) and they couldn't get anywhere near the deal 3 were offering me - when averaged out over the year (after initial offer and redemption etc) I'm paying 18.50 a month which is

Signed up for 18 months with T mobile just to get a Motorola V3 phone  .
