Today it seems good service is hard to find.

So I thought I would let you know of some great customer service.

I bought a set of Skoda roofbars from Springlea in the for sale section. The Skoda bars are made by Mont Blanc www.montblanc.se .

I then purchased a pair of Mont Blanc Barracuda bike carriers to fit on the bars.

Through a stroke of luck one of the carriers lock matched the lock number on the roof bars. So I ended up with 5 locks the same and one odd lock.

I asked a question on the Swedish website asking where I could purchase a matching lock. A day later I received an email from the UK Customer service dept asking me to explain what I had and what I wanted.

A day later I received an email from the UK sales manager asking me for my address so he could post me out the lock I wanted free of charge. :D:thumbup:

Makes a welcome change to the companies who dont give a ****

I've just got myself the Fabia bars which are made by Thule, wonder if they are so helpful??

Had a similar experience with "worcester-bosch" boiler customer service.

Rung up (for work) to get a service manual for a combi 9.24 - Seemed easy enough - I gave details and I was asked which one? - Errrr, yerwot? Never mind Sir we'll send out copies of all 4 for you. :thumbup: And they were on my desk when I got to work this morning, less than 24 hours later. :)

I have a pair of Oakley sunglass I use for skiing and during the summer... I lost one of the arms (the clip on and off), so I called customer services and asked how much a new one would be (given the glasses were over 140 when i got them a couple of years ago) - they said to send them back to the returns department, which I duely did, expecting a hefty charge. They replaced them with a new, unscratched pair free of charge. Sorted :D

I got lacquer on my Oakleys'........

Since it wasn't a warranty covered thing, knew it would cost........

Sent them off, got them back - some irk had stuffed the wrong lenses in the frames, and even forced the frame causing it to crack!

Got a refund, and free pair of the revised model.

Also fantastic experience from AT Cross Pens........lifetime warranty.....4 years of constant abuse of a fountain pen.......the barrel threads went last week........toook it back to the shop, it returned the other day with all new parts........no charge. :thumbup:

Now if only VAG adopted the same approach to customer service....... :rolleyes:
