Evening all.

I have a lethargic rear n/s lock mechanism - makes a bit of a squeek when locking or not with central locking.  They're a common problem I know but are there any good guides as to the removal of door card & replacement of lock mech for the rears?  Found a few on youtube but mainly for VW front doors.  What about the clear plastic cover you seem to have to destroy to get to problem?  Can this be replaced?

Thanks Rob.

Luckily the door is unlockable so can be worked on when open.  Are there other suppliers of new genuine parts other than Skoda/TPS that anyone can reccomend?  May need plastic clips also.  Door card looks like it's been off before and is not sitting flush with the metal.  Any other guides/advice much appreciated.

I got mine from Ebay - less than half the local price.

I`ve had to replace all 4 of mine in the last few years, used from ebay, but *touch wood* seem to work great.

Found this today.  Looks like a genuine part at a sensible cost.  Any idea if the door card clips are available online?

I've had this problem for the last two Weeks where my rear drivers side lock would sometimes unlock but most of the time not,well today when it did unlock I sprayed the catch with wd 40 trying to get some inside the door on the mech,and amazingly my lock now works! So at the moment I don't have to remove anything:)
