Has anyone retro fitted the oem centre console arm rest/box to their car??

mine has the standard ambiente type thing with spaces for cups etc

however I want to fit the arm rest type console and was wondering what 'other' parts necessary other than the main console/arm rest itself as ill be getting parts from a breaker miles away...

It looks to me as the arm-rest is a separate part of the arm-rest consul (i.e. it's the frame that holds the rest tilt and lock piece).

There are 4 holes at the base of the frame which I assume screw to the floor or maybe Torx bolts.

The compartment below the rest is where bits and bobs are placed, this is the 2nd part of the arm rest so make sure you get both bits + the pipework for the A/C flow.

There are a few tutorials on here for the process of fitting it, with pictures.

 

There are also discussions specifically about air ducts and fitting these.
