Well its finally off tomorrow (yippeee). So tonight was spent removing the interior so we can fit the seats, run the air pipes for the suspension and sort my install :)

:note the one electric window and one manual one..lol. Ive got the accessory electric window kit on the Fun and one of the cables broke. Sad thing is you can't buy individual parts and I wasnt going to fork out

Those seats are awesome for that price!

Really cant wait to see the finished thing

Dead Cool :)

(apart from the fluffy dice ;) )

Hey dont diss the dice ;)

Tasty seats mate. Looking forward to seeing the project develop.

Wot you doing with the back seats ?

Progress so far 9/10 ( no one is perfect :) )

them are the same seats i used to have in my saxo!!!

Hey good luck with that man!! Can't wait to see the finished product!

They will be retrimmed eventually along with the fronts I think in grey and yellow leather.

I'm lovin' the fun! (not literally of course) Those seats are spot on. please keep us updated mate.

so what is happening performance wise then?

Looking really cool!!!

Like Bengie I'd also like to know what's in store under the bonnet :)

Not sure about performance as yet.

Getting the body etc sorted first. A 1.8T would be nice but would be so much work (ask JBS..lol). And sticking a 200 odd bhp engine in the front might not be the best thing for it.

Still quite like the idea of a 1.4 16v as it would be different and minimal amount of work to get it in.

how about the best of both worlds mate, a 1.4 16v turbo!!

:D

would make it that little bit different again

but i'm sure if you were to fit a nice LSD it would cope quite well with a 1.8T, its not like you'd need to tune it to the max. tbh though i'm not sure i'd be able to resist it if it was me :o

But probably work out more expensive than the 1.8t.

Brakes are difficult to get on the Felicia as the hub is pretty unique.

Also we will have to see how well the air suspension handles etc.

Or a 1.6i from the Lupo GTi? 125BHP.

The 1.6 isnt supposed to be that good tuning wise though. A 1.4 16v with a gas flowed head and a set of cams will be around that. With the bons that its really light.

Having said that i've heard rumours that the 1.4 16v head will fit on my 1.6 bottom end, but not so sure on this.

Perhaps you should consider a mid engine conversion? You could chop up an MR2 turbo weld the whole lot into a freshly cut hole in the pickup floor, toneau over the top and you'd have a real stealth machine.............. OK perhaps it would be possible..... but hey, we can all dream

just read about your electric window problem and looking at the motor assembly in the picture of the stripped down passenger door it looks just like the aftermarket kit that Sempal do and you can buy a 2 door kit for just over

Cheers for the advice :)

Certainly got busy today with my mate Gary (very good fabricator/sprayer).

He made up some brace bars out of flat sheet steel to support the rear of the seat runners as they are slightly narrower than the standard seats.

And the wood strips were removed from the rear load bay as that is all going to be sprayed.

Bumpers off for modding and spraying

So all in all a productive day. Tomorrow we bolt in the seats after welding the supports in and attack the suspension :)

good going fellah!!

Nice job on the runners mate - he did you proud there.
