Nice job on the runners mate - he did you proud there.

He sure did. Handy having all the tools (metal folding equipment and swagers etc) but you still have to know how to use them. I worked with him at MSD where he prepared the shells for the WRC Hyundai team hence his MK1 Escort..

We have been mates for a long time, I look after the mechanicals he does the bodywork

Bit more done today, has been rather hot I must say. We got the drivers seat almost in which took a fair bit of jiggling about to get 100%. Bit the passenger one should be alot easeir now we have one done. As you can see the car is pretty much stripped out now ready for prepping once the seats are in and the suspension is on (still to do).

Not sure about performance as yet.

Getting the body etc sorted first. A 1.8T would be nice but would be so much work (ask JBS..lol). And sticking a 200 odd bhp engine in the front might not be the best thing for it.

Still quite like the idea of a 1.4 16v as it would be different and minimal amount of work to get it in.
