Post your facelift Yeti picture

Just back from our trip out collecting the Yeti. First thoughts about it are that we love it. The 1.2 with the DSG is a great setup. Some nice touches like the puddle lights in the wing mirrors, The mood lighting up in the interior lighting that shines a crisp white light down on the centre console. The headlights seem really good especially when going round bends etc, they really do light the bends well. Now what do we think about Moon white.... when it was parked outside the dealer I couldn't tell it apart from Candy white so was glad that we didn't have to pay extra for it, but as the day went on, in different light it kept changing shades from solid white to light greys to silver so it is growing on me. Its certainly a handsome looking beast sat outside the house. Just need to remember we don't have front parking sensors anymore. will get some pics up soon.

Finally managed to get some pics taken of our new FL Yeti - just after it's first wash!

Never really been a fan of white cars before, but am quite taken by white Yetis. Think the contrast with the expanse of black pillars/glass/roofrails etc helps.

Looks good that!

Outdoor Elegance 170 - due for week 6 build, 1st March reg (hopefully)

Hi - sent you a PM ;)

Oh and forgot to say that the gold/brown looking plastic stuff stuck on the dashboard looks horrible. Will be vinyl wrapping it in carbon wrap as soon as I get the chance as neither of us like it at all. It doesn't go with anything else on the car. What were they thinking?

I would suggest wrapping it gloss black instead. "Carbon fibre" wrap is more at home on a fiesta with an unfeasibly loud exhaust.

Is it me or does the new steering wheel look a bit like a Vauxhall steering wheel.  I had an insignia for a while once and it looks identical.

It's just you. Insignia one is vauxhall's trademark coarse white stitching, coarsely perforated leather and unpleasant textured plastic. It's really not that similar.

Not really. we just got rid of an astra that had the same wheel as the insignia. The yeti is a nicer design, the centre is far smaller than the vauxhall and the rim is so much nicer in the Yeti. It feels far more cunky.

I know what you mean but the spare roll of the stuff I have is a very mild carbon look. I have it on the bonnet of my van to hide the stone chips and can hardly tell it has the carbon weave on it. Just looks like very dark gray. It might look different inside a car though. Think I might try a test piece before doing it all. Now you've got me thinking Gloss black could look nice.

I think it's the empty triangular section at the bottom which is setting off that trigger! I can see what you mean, but I certainly don't see that and think 'Vauxhall'. I quite like it.

Are you thinking of doing yours similar to the Octy Nick? Which wrap did you buy for that?

I have some 3M Di-Noc spare, but thinking that might be a bit much across all the inserts.

I have some of the brushed-metal effect ones ready to fit thanks to Truthseaker. I may try wrapping the "champagne" ones, but I'd have to buy some wrap. I did think of getting them sprayed moon white by the guy who did my custom piano black stuff on the Octavia.

Nice work.

Really annoying you can't have the brushed metal effect ones from the SE, on the Elegance  :wall:

It's a very Skoda thing to do. They specialise in this sort of bizarre decision making.

Moon white could work nicely. it would brighten the interior up.

And also many thanks to Yetikent who gave it to me in the first place.

Did you get the colour as a no cost option? It's listed as metallic and so £595 surcharge.

It's my wife's Motability car. Metalic paint doesn't cost extra over solid colours on the scheme. In fact up until recently Motability cars had to be ordered with metalic paint as back then solid colours were more difficult for them to sell on. Now they realise some solid colours are in fashion and sell just as well. If we did have to pay the full price for Moon white I don't think we would have gone for it as there was Candy white as a no cost option and we had no idea what Moon white would look like. Even now we have it we both struggle to tell it apart from Moon solid white.

Just got back from a 250 mile round trip in the Yeti with four adults plus a piece of furniture in the boot and have to say it performed brilliantly. It sat at motorway speeds quite happily, just dropped down a gear or two on long up hills but the DSG is so smooth you can't feel it change gear. I found going over 75mph started effecting the mpg quite a lot with a full load. fortunately we don't do too many of those trips.

This is my Yeti FL

Collected today after a 16 week wait and I got to see my first Outdoor and City Yeti FL's at the same time. They were also in white and I now know for sure I made the right choice for me anyway, by going with the above to replace our classic Yeti.

TP

The day has finally come TP without a yeti  :( .

Looks good, be interesting to see how it compares to the yeti, but could never have one it's to long for SWMBO to drive the yeti is her size limit  :giggle:.

Enjoy your new Yetavia.

Congrats tp, nice looking motor.

Really should go and valet the car seeing as it appears to have only had a quick wash before we collected it and now its done over 300 miles in the rain it doesn't look very white anymore. Can't get my backside into gear though especially with the amount of work i'm going to have to put into it to get it up to standard.
