Problem is still the understeer. Less than it was before, but nevertheless still there. On monday we changed the springs to a bit harder. That was ok on the rear, but to hard on the frontside. So this sunday we will put in some softer springs on the front and I have made some metall plates for getting more negative camber. Lets hope this will help. You must see this work as the perfection off a car wich is already very good. I can play with Porsche 993RS, GT3, M3 CSL and so. They are a little bit faster, but it is great fun playing  . So it is already very good.

anychance of a passenger lap next weekend if your there?

sounds like you know the circuit well, myself and my 3 buddy's will welcome any advice you wish to share!!!

Alex

Alex. When are you there? I will bethere sunday late afternoon with the guy who made the suspension for testing, and I will be there monday afternoon. I don't think there will be a lot off time on sundayafternoon. Just come over and talk to me. My car is an BMW E34 M5 in a very fine shade off purple :D

I should be there in either my red vRS or red Boxster. I have just got a garage in Adenau where I can keep the Boxster so the vRS ( Sooty) may get the weekend off. She has done 170 laps this year & the tyre side walls are looking a bit bare.

With the DTM on this weekend it will probably be very busy. The last 6 weekends haven't been too bad considering apart from the usual Sunday afternoon mayhem.

Last sundayafternoon and yesterday were great. I did 7 laps in row sundayafternoon and saw nobody on the track

I'm there this weekend, arrive coming over on Friday morning tunnel crossing hoping to get to hotel for 5-6pm.

will probably take a drive to the circuit to have a look or stop on the way past.

am going home on Monday, crossing at 5pm,so leaving mid morning.

will be in my Arctic Silver Boxster S(18" Carrera's),with a Lotus Elise 135R.

Lotus has got a private plate on and my Boxster reg ends in 'HMV'.

whats this DTM thing thats going on then?

Alex, if you do get a chance to go out on the ring with **** all I can say is "Find something to hold onto". He is an amazing driver, having been sat in the passenger seat a few times myself. I have been round with him a few times now in his Octy vRS, then the E class Merc and last september the M5. His M5 is not all it seems, its badged as a 520i for a start.

Steve, saw your car there on Saturday parked on the side of the road outside. Couldn't see you though.

DTM is the German Touringcar Championship. Drivers like Hakkinen, Alesi and Frentzen are playing with these cars.

Hi,

I think it was during a closure if it was outside. I was probably in the car park talking to some of the UK ringers who were over for the weekend. Having had the good luck to have been working in Germany for the last 8 weeks I don't have the pressure to do as many laps as I can on weekends, since I can come down during the week for the quiet evening sessions.

I'm in France working at the moment but at the weekend my wife & I will be driving the 2 cars over. It will take a lot of doing getting used to the 986 again after 200 laps in the vRS this year. Better power, better brakes, better tyres but far more places where flat out isn't possible!

Look for a 986 or vRS with a Ringers sticker in the back window.

Correct. Very popular over here. Another complication is that the Fahrerlehrgang is on Mon, Tues & Weds. This is the BMW racing course on the Ring. I did it last year & there will be about 300 cars arriving over the weekend from all over the world, most of whom will be driving sat & Sun.

A very busy weekend.

Steve
