Seeing as its getting darker I thought i'll do some simple light mods.

 

So first up are some footwell lights. Wired to the interior light so they come on when you unlock or open the car. not bad for £2.

 

 

I've also done some other light bits which i'll add later.

Just ran two wires from the interior light above the mirror and down the A pilla. Then soldered them to some SMD strips.

Looks good! Aiming to do something similar on mine soon. As simple and easy as connecting a wire to the interior light and running it down to the footwell? Don't suppose you could tell me which pins on the interior light to connect it to?

Had my glove box out today and this has now crossed my mind to do, which cables did you splice off?

Im doing mine tomorow, got all the trim stripped cause ive been fitting an autolights module.

Take out the light from door and look at colors of cable.then Remove cover of the cables by door's holder and found the same colors cable.Use them for interior lights. Sry o forgot 2 put pics job is done allready. Sry for my english

are we talking about passenger side here? as im looking for the power wires on the inside at minute but gave up as i ran out of wire!

Yup, remove the glovebox and you'll see them running through to the door.

I used these. There the same as above just not water proof. The colour I went for was warm white.

Is there any step by step guides available for this type of mod?

Want to do this in my Fabia but I have no experience whatsoever with electrics.
