This is why I love the PD130...

Okay so it's not a fabie but we're engine brothers :) My drive back from uni today, 26 miles (Huddersfield to Leeds)

So so pleased with this engine so far!

Down hill? wind behind you?

Best I've ever seen was 70.8 and that meant sitting behind a scooter at 45mph on the dual carriageway.

Still can't complain with at a car that will do a 100 mile trip to a race circuit,150 miles of flat out driving and 100 miles home and still do over 30mpg

The m62 is fairrrrrrly flat on my commute but does have a few hills to go over too!

Luckily there wasn't any traffic, I seemed to hit every traffic light at green apart from one which I turned my engine off for haha.

Stayed at around 60mph, drafted off of a lorry for a short while (didn't seem to make much difference though)

I don't have cruise control so it was all in my right foot.

My best was 74mpg over a 20 miles drive to work. Guy in work got 90 out of his focus lol

My best is 69 mpg following a Land Rover @70 mph through Germany for 200 miles. 1700rpm so off boost.

Needed a bloomin good thrashing after to remove the carbon build up in the turbo Mind you!

Haha yep got to love the soot coming out of the back after a good old italian tuneup!

Slightly, okay very off topic, but I like the yellow and black dash.

I wish I could see those figures every day lol

avg 55 for me

Are these averages on the trip computer? Best I've seen tank to tank was 55MPG and that was at 70MPH down the M4 from Swindon to Bridgend and back, usually I get around 47-50MPG, which I can't complain about I suppose.

on my trip home from swansea i averaged 64 mpg (m4 to a road). i'm happy with my fuel returns. done 267 miles so far and trip computer says 420 miles left to go.

My computer always says +20% or so better than I am actually doing.  There we go. :)

I get roughly 250 miles at best from £30 depending on the type of journey being done.  If I get 200 then m'eh. :D

I've noticed that, my computer says I'm getting about 66MPG when in fact I'm getting about 55MPG.

I love how the Ibiza has the fuel guage going the right way ;)

The 1.9s are pretty good for this.

I used to get silly MPGs taking it steady too on my PD130 Cordoba.

If I drive the Octavia the same way too combined with the DSGs eagerness to change up gears it too can get really good fuel economy.

I saw over 100mpg the other week... mainly downhill though...

Haha. When I got my Cordoba the guy at the garage said "It's even got nearly a full tank of fuel". A look at the dash confirmed this... until I got nearly home and the fuel light came on. It was only then I realised it went the other way!

I don't haha, purely because everytime someone gets in they comment on why the car is blue and the dash is yellow haha.

The reason 'because yellow is sporty' has been uttered way too many times by me now haha

I can get 550 miles to a tank on a motorway run from Manchester to Essex. A tank is sub £60 to fill so I find it does very well compared to my last car which took £100 each way, 240 miles ish.

Slighty OT but Dann2707. If you ever want remote windows enabling on your car give me a shout.

I'm just up the road in York and did it on my old Cordoba (Ibiza with a boot) and a couple of Ibiza FRs.

It's not something that can just be done with VCDS. I have the serial lead and dos program required.

Thank you very much for the offer dude! Think I've done every adaption possible so far but like you say I can't do that and really do miss it.

Is it true that to have cornering foglights you need a specific module wired in?

Yeah pretty certain it can't be done on a MK4 (6L).

It might be possible if you put a module in from a newer car but not sure if that would work at all.

Not something I looked in to tbh.
