Went out last night to Swindon..

Usual stuff,overtaking slower cars under 60 :-),when a Nissan duke comes up 2 cars behind me..

I overtake,he does the same..this carrys on all the way to highworth,

I'm still two cars in front..and carry on at 60ish..

When I get to highworth he's comes flying up behind me...and the car looks like it's got a body kit..so what...I'm thinking.

I turn left he goes straight on..

Now after a bit of googling...it seems nissan have fitted a skyline engine to a duke!..the "R" version..

Has almost 500 bhp!

What a sleeper...so watch out if a body kitted duke comes up behind.,

Now thats the Nissan Juke & the Duke to look out for then.

 

Could it have been a more mundane 'Nissan Juke Nismo' with 300 bhp less than the few Juke-R's ?

As my little brother worked for Nissan up until a month or so ago I can also confirm that the 1.6T 197bhp 180something lbs ft Juke and also lesser models are sold with factory fit bodykits. Think the top end 197bhp with trimmings is called a Nismo, looks similar to the R, would be heavy though as 4x4. Been out in the earlier four wheel drive 190bhp and underwhelmed, felt heavy.

Far more of those around than Juke-R's (20 ish made)

At £400,000 I doubt there's many about tbh!

So, sorry. 

i thought only 2 were built with the GTR drivetrain. and had no idea that any more had been, i had not googled them..

damn ugly car..  the duke     even if it does have a GTR engine it is still ugly 

It wasn't a Juke R. Not a chance, it'll have been the Nismo one which is still crap. 

Now i am up to date on them.

Looking at the cars..nismo and a R,

The nismo doesn't have the extended wheel arches,unless it was a nismo with an R kit.

TBH I can't see a fat arse 4x4 with a poultry 200bhp go that well..it would be like a golf gti,performance wise,

and this did shift..

Same engine as the Clio RS 200 Turbo as in the Nismo, and the Nissan is even heavier than the not very fast Renault.
