How wet were they when finished?

Seats are damp to touch, as its a steam injection method.....................so plonk the old bin liner over said seat a remove once out. We always say 24 hrs to dry but outside temp, sunlight, windows open etc will shorten said dampness.

I really need to wet vac my seats

Done this method myself, must pay myself the going rate based on this!

Alternatively, check out the technical guide to completely remove the seat covers (and was in your washing machine).

Have to say I contemplated that on swmbo's last vRS, but bottled it due to all the clips etc, and went down the wet vac route...

Where abouts are you based mine are a lot worse than these tho :(

It was really a one off clean but could offer the service............................ cheaper if a few peeps wanted interiors doing. Based in Leicester.

If it were mine then yes remove covers and washing machine all day long but this is the next best thing to a washing machine, plus we have a few of the stain removers too ;)

Was certainly interesting to see how the seats came up and certainly wasn't expecting to be doing a skoda vrs today lol

I think some of it depends what you are using as the cleaning agent with a wet/dry vac process.

Plus I use a particular rubberised brush to gently agitate the fabric whilst the cleaning agent gets to work. I'll try to get a pic and post it; it really works well and makes a difference.

A local Skoda garage got my seats filthy after a recent visit. They took the car back to give them a clear. They did a fantastic job too, from dirty and filthy following a technicians grubby overalls all over them to sparkling, well not really sparkling as cloth won't sparkle but you get the idea :)

Looks like a good job though PSL, love the yellow motor too. I am so, so tempted to get mine wrapped or resprayed yellow. But it's a big decision as I can only afford to it once if I get the respray and can't risk not getting the right colour I want!!

based in Leicester you say!

Id be up for having mine done at some point in the future if the price was a little cheaper.

I bought one of these cheap...

I found it easier to use a torx / star drive bit, and remove both front seats to clean them.

Not only can you do the seats in the (relative) warmth of your garage, but it also allows full access to wet/dry clean the whole of the floor carpet area that would not normally be accessible.

Completely agree RTZ. I didn't have time last year to rip it all out, but I'm on gardening leave until the end of the year, so I have no excuse now :giggle:
