Cheers dsmithmobile, saw you the other day near ketch in willerby. Have you painted your door mirrors same colour as your wheels?

Yes spotted you near the ketch too :)

and the mirror covers where on when you first saw it outside the school, maybe you just didn't notice them,it's just a spare set of covers though and the black ones will be back on soon when I put my winter wheels back on.

Like the matching wheel mirror look. Didn't notice when I say you before. The missus works at the school so it's there most days unless I'm off during the week and I get to drive/clean/ fill up with fuel/modd it lol.

Cheers,I'm still undecided but the wife said she liked the mirror covers so left them on for now but yes I thought you or your partner must work at the school as I've seen it there regularly,it's coming along nicely though and keep up the good work :)

Few new parts for tomorrow will be an all day job this lot. Exhaust from plymouthVrs, shifter bushes from Lloyd (via a nervous breakdown), parking sensors and down pipe via ebay. Busy boy

Well productive evening back bumper off, centre box off, back box fully disconnected but struggling to wangle it out think it'll be getting cut tomorrow.

Brutal day today would be easier to say what I didn't get done today :wall: . P*$$£d  :rain: it down all day, however I did manage to get the full system changed despite the back box having to be chopped off with a grinder. Downpipe/ decat was the easiest bit of the lot, surprisingly not one bolt on the full exhaust snapped  :whew:  The bonus is got it all back together and rear parking sensors fitted. I went out earlier and spool up does seem quicker noise from the system is great deep and loud but OK at 70 on the M'Way.t9uurn.jpg2ijra8l.jpgr2op6a.jpg2m3hhyr.jpg2ug1nc8.jpg

As you can see the new DP is way bigger than the standard pipe another plus is the EML hasn't come on yet  Tomorrow hopefully weather permitting I'll getting the exhaust rattling on the body sorted, stop the boost gauge buzzing, fit the draft and verdict shifter bushes and if possible tidy the garage as it's a right tip after today.

Looks good.

Time for mapping.

  • Author

Yeah mapping is my next thought got a couple of little jobs (see above) then Christmas. I get paid at the end of December so mapping and some seats would be good.

Coming along nicely. Good going on the exhaust studs too!

  • Author

Cheers ADE it was a tense moment laid under the car pouring with rain praying the turbo studs would be ok. I managed to stop it rattling on the body yesterday and tidy the garage. Just the shifter bushes and stop my boost gauge buzzing to do

  • Author

Well rear parking sensors all up and running with display, cured the knocking on the body so all is well............... the EML on been waiting with the decat been expecting it to be fair. Read the code and got the freeze frame data k2mnbm.jpg

So looks like a remap to cure this and exploit the new turbo pipe. Quick under-bonnet pic (needs a clean)2vnjlmd.jpg
