Sorry but i would love to see all this criticism to be said in person. I very much doubt you would be saying this directly to burks face saying about his spelling and gramma and calling him a chav. I have a yellow skoda with 8.5j wheels with stretched tyres rubbing the side wall. Should of said a thing or two to me at the mega meet. Personally a black car covered in gold screams chav more than anything and when you see an old man driving it just makes my day, yes im getting personal much like you have towards burks about his spelling etc. Pointing out someones flause is not nice at the end of the day and calling someone chavy is not nice. Grow up and get a life, if you have an issue with what i have said then you know how it feels so put your keyboard away and go play bowls or something.

Not sure as i seen his car once have not looked again as its my cup of tea. Did I rip the hell out of it? No because its not the done thing as its his car and his money. Im 24 and have not been brought up to belittle people wether its there possessions, looks, lifestyle or in this case grammar aswell. The only reason i mentioned it now is because I think trying to put someone down on a public forum is pathetic so i stupidly retaliated on a very biased forum.

Surely someone of the older generation should know better than to stoop to the level of this thread and just be mature and stay out of it.

Oh yer just to put it out there my super dope hellaflush stanced fabia running pokey out wheels at silly angles won best mk1 fabia at the mega meet. Brimmas driving cancer stick advertisement won best mk2 octy at the mega meet.

If that doesnt prove that taste can vary and at the same event aswell, pretty pointless thread if you look at that as there is a place for all of us and our differences in car taste.

This thread is class haha. I like how all the people saying 'it ruins the cars handling' have probably never even been round a corner fast enough to know what the word handling means.

At the end of the day, people do what they like to their own cars, personally I am more of a driver than a shower and enjoy my track days yet I still LOVE attending the likes of VW festival, Edition 38 etc. It's quite obvious people who have their car's touching the floor with wide ass wheels and stretches tyres don't give a flying **** about handling, if you don't like it don't start a crappy thread about it as it would always end like this ha

Everyone has the right to their opinions but slating each other and their cars is just not acceptable.

 

We all like different things, and one mans meat is another mans poison etc.

 

Stance and lowering is part of modding, like it or hate it, just don't attack others for their preference.

I just wanted to add, length of membership or perceived popularity does not influence decisions. It does allow us to make a more considered response, is it out of character, or a typical <person> type of reply.

 

I'd also like to see threads from going this way, worse thing short of suspension is locking. But it's a necessary evil if people cannot can't think before typing.

 

There probably is a bias towards 'normal' mainstream. I would of hoped those with normal tastes could also be decent enough to accept others 'normal' tastes. I'd love to see mr Normal, as none of us are normal!
