NOTE: The car runs perfectly fine without any issues - I assume the remap is causing the problem?

Rear O/S rear electric window doesn't go up or down
(You can hear the mechanism working, when you press the button up or down)

It needs servicing as last service 86K miles

Cambelt changed at 66K miles, should I replace it anyway?

N/S rear window switch works opposite direction, up to go down, and down to go up??

Exterior needs a good mop.

Aux input doesn't seem to work?

Good Bit:

Interior is clean and tidy

wheels look tidy

Comes with electric sunroof

Fun bit biggrin.gif

Car has been remapped to 200+BHP, don't know exact figures will get dyno next week.

DPF has been removed

The car goes like a rocket, it is ridiculously fast, and it pull's in any gear. Had a smile on my face, when I was gunning it down on the motorway last night biggrin.gif

Will upload pics soon...

Has it had the injector recall done?

If not then you can get 4x injectors fitted free of charge by a Skoda main dealer (official VOSA recall).

Well....There was a fault with Injector 4 which was replaced by the previous owner. Do I need to haggle with Skoda to fit 4 injectors FOC? Or do I just go in, and book it in?

Engine code is BMN.

give any skoda dealer a ring and ask for them to check its had any recalls carried out. All you need is the reg.

Does the car still have the original speakers? I ask as it sounds like the door pannels have been off and caused problems. The switch working backwards should be a polarity issue.

Im guessing you bought private? If not you can take it back and get it fixed FOC

They are original speakers, not aftermarket. There is one slight issue, the turbo seems to sound very noise, like a whistling noise, police siren. There is no blue smoke nor white smoke coming out from the rear. The car was from a trader not private, it has FSH by Skoda Electrics in B'ham.

I did some online research, and quite a few people suggested check for boost leak, otherwise new turbo.

I'll have a read through the link, and call Skoda tomorrow.

if it came from a trader i'd be right onto them with this list of faults. Its not up to you to fix them

For a Skoda dealer to look up the injector recall they'll need the VIN number not the reg plate.

my local dealer only needed the reg, afterall the reg is linked to the vin but the vin is easy to find. Passenger side of the windscreen at the bottom corner

Sounds like alot of issues there mate. If I had only just got that it would be going straight back in!

Hope it was cheap

I will drop the car off to VAG specialist tomorrow, and see what they come up with. I did took the car for a good spin before I bought it. Car was priced at £5975, then reduced the price down below market value.

The turbo whistling, the injector fault may relate to the remap, as I assume the figures are considerably high around 220 Bhp. The car skids in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear in full throttle. I'm driving it gently for now, I might take the remap off then get it professionally remapped by APR tuned, or Shark Performance.

I don't think the fuel pump has been changed, and the egr valve seems a little dirty. I was expecting these problems from VAG, as I had similar problems in the cars I owned previously. I bought the Skoda at a bargain price, so I'm not complaining and tend to keep the car for a few years.

There are additives that clean up the turbo and injectors, Innotec Turbo cleaner, and 10K Boost.

I wouldnt bother taking it anyware before talking to the trader.

The sales of goods and services act has your back here and they are required to fix, refund or replace. Unless you knew if all the faults when you bought it?

Car is running perfectly fine, no fault codes, no turbo issues, got it serviced from VAG today and came back with positive results.

Will be doing a few subtle mods:

Gloss Black Wheels

Green Painted Calipers

Window Tints

Front Black Grill (Gloss Black)

Dyno run (next week)

Retrofit cruise control

Skoda Sat Nav

HID 6000K

LED lights

Lamin-X yellow foglamps

Rear parking sensors

Things to do:

Bonnet respray

Front Bumper respray

Doesn't your first post start with a fault code?

I went to Skoda today, and they deleted the code. They also gave me a print out of the injectors been replaced by them in 2011. Skoda told me it is related with the dpf removal/software, so I headed to Cardiff Prospeed Exhaust today, and they resetted the software and put up a new software for the dpf.

All sorted now..!

If you've got a map on it, be gentle with the turbo, especially if it's starting to siren already. Mine blew up a few months ago and left me stranded in Derbyshire on Bank Holiday Monday. A new one (OEM, not pattern) will set you back around £1500 all in and can be a REAL inconvenience!

I'm sure you can get the boost pressures checked and someone on here should be able to give you comparative figures for a standard unit.

The turbo siren noise is related with the dpf removal, Skoda and VAG had a thorough look at the the turbo and the car, I even did all the checks underneath too, as I know what to look at and had various VAG cars in the past. (same engine) All is fine, I have nothing to worry about.

The engine was flushed along with the oil service, just need to clean the EGR valve.

A few subtle mods will be done next year.

I don' t know who's told you that, but a a police siren noise is not a good sign from any turbo. It will have nothing to do with DPF removal.

Mike

My car makes a police siren noise, has done ever since I bought it (and since the previous owner bought it apparently), but whenever I've posted about it people have said that it's the normal noise some of them make and just leave it! Would dearly love to get rid of the noise though, does get annoying after a while!

Same, various VAG forums have said the exact same thing what Dan said. Dan, I'll PM you the rest for a few mod/s advice :)

Mine whined before the DPF was removed and continued to whine after (slightly louder). Then it blew up. No remap, no silly antics, just driving around the country.

Not to sound all doom & gloom about it but good luck with it, I sincerely hope it doesn't go bang.
