my car

I think the car looks ok but one thing really bugs me . . . the vRS badge on the grill. And I'm not even a vRS driver!

Definitely, does a dis-service to us bona-fide vRS drivers! :thumbdwn: :D

Looks alright, However the stickers is abit "David Beckham Tatoo" and the front disc's look like a robin reliants and as for the rear Drums! and you highlighted them with red paint .

If its a work In progress Would be sweet to see the finished pics, also is the engine standard or?

i had posted these pics up a while back but this is how the car is currently looking..

i took all the stickers off and added some motorsport style ones as used on the wrc fabia.

engine is standard, cone filter and stainless backbox are the only changes that way so nothing that would really change the power output.

the rear drums were red when i bought the car, i agree they would be a lot better black or replaced with a disc conversion which i had almost agreed to get done a couple of months ago.

Now that looks sweet, Im also thinking those wheels cover up the brakes better, im liking how their is minimal space between wheel and arch very nice.

Its just wrong though badging it up as a vRS when it hasnt got the power to pull the skin off a rice pudding :(

In the flesh it looks great, changing the stickers every week changes the look of the car.

Hope you've got better suspension on it now.

the rear is still the same and because of the lack of gap between rear tyre>arch i need to get my rear passenger side one fixed as its broke the paint on the lip of the arch, think the tyres are a tad wide for clearance, the front springs have been replaced with *cough*modified*cough* eibachs, sits a wee bit higher so i'm still in the process of sorting that out the way i'd like. as dodgy as the last set up sounded it handled fine if not a little bouncy, i'd like to have it back down so low, comfort doesnt concern me if i'm happy with the stance.

I think you're not being fair there. Why not stick vRS badges on if that's what you want? Owning the real thing is probably not an option for many a driver these days particularly if you're young with limited no claims bonus (you know I'm talking insurance here). Anyway, must mean the the vRS badge means something out there on the streets.

KTP - looks nice car ignore the doubters!!

I bet making the thing look like a vRS and then some probably costs the same amount to insure!

yep same car

It might have been me you saw:P

I was passing through Broxburn where your car used to be parked and I was sure it had a for sale sticker in the window. Was this right and how were you getting on with it?

Looks way cooler with the stickers as they are now and that's coming from a rally red Vrs owner from Livvy!! Almost thought it was a VRS the first couple of times Isaw it then noticed the black plastic wing mirrors, boot trim and the drum brakes but good job all the same.

i have the car up for sale at the moment, i dont really want to part with it as i've grown way to attached to it but i also want to buy myself a mint condition 205 GTi, and i cant really afford to have both.

i've had a few problems lately, water pump and now head gasket plus theres the management light issue which west end couldnt seem to pin down. its a great car in all, i would love to have an rs but until my debt level comes down a fair whack i wont be going for finance/loans to pay for one.

as stated above... the vRS badges...

these were on the car when i bought it and have never had the urge to remove them, the grill badge doesnt say rs so its really only a motorsport badge and i think it looks at home there. insurance on a vRS isn't much of a problem for me now although was when i originally bought the car. i also bought it for its looks and wasnt concerned about performance. its nice to have that bit extra power on tap but would never really get used round here now.

All show no go unfortunately.

But still, looks good

One thing that is puzzzling me, why put a Vrs badge on the front when it is not one?

west end put vRS bumpers and a WRC rear spoiler to enhance its looks and badged it as a vRS. it was one of 2 cars they done, just to brighten up a crappier model basically.
