What is the thing in the red rectangle? Vag 1.6TDI

Featured Replies

I know that it's an image of an "sister model" but still the same engine.

My question is: What´s the thing in the red rectangle?

Can't help, but triangles have 3 sides - that's a square. :giggle:

^^^^ lol , isn't it something to do with exhaust, and that's not like my golf 1.6 crtdi ? Is it a 2.0 ? Mk6 or 7

exhaust is in the back of the engine and I think that there are hoses connected to it

It's not the one in my golf?

Deffo looks like an oil cooler. My 1.9 BXE has the same looking thing on the front of the engine too.

Don't know. pretty sure it is the same base engine. but in the polo picture it's pretty much identical to my fabia  except for the gray engine cover
