LED 'puddle' lights

Featured Replies

You know, I've watched this car evolve gradually on here over the last 2 and a bit years, and I can honestly say that whilst some of your mods have been a bit brave for me to try, I have never found anything that you have done that I have disliked in any way. This is the sort of car that I would really love to own - looks subtle and in places oem - and I mean that as a compliment not an insult Bowders.

Top job, just get those how to's up :giggle:

wow cheers buddy.....I take that compliment very well.

I can't take credit for some of the mods i have done but have always tried to add my theme to them.

Sometimes I have gone backwards to go forwards, sometimes I wish i never started something as caused issues messing(and the wife making me feel so much better stating "told you so" or "you shouldn't have fiddled with it"

but every time i have persevered. The car represents a mix of aggressive,  subtle, some risky and some ott  themes all blended.

I may start a project thread up with all the stuff i have done , but you should start them as you do the  job lol. Would be like a biography of 7 years of ownership.

As the car is not worth much it has become / represents  my challenges and changing mods.

thanks..............

Wow. Cant belive my post has gone to 4 pages lol. Only did it due to boredom lol.

Just placed mine where I want them. Need to get some scotch locks to get then wires up. One of the easiest things I've done. And I'm a real noob at electrics/mechanics. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to do it. Very simple to do.

For anyone who doesn't want to drill their door card it's just as easy to feed the wires behind the door card. This is what I just done.

Nice mate!!!!  I am going to do the same on mine because boot is too dark even at the middle of the day. :sun:

Doors done. Boot nxt just thinking a meter strip under parcel shelf will do it. The boots are dark its cos they are like looking into a cave :)

Yeah, thanks for the post, can't believe what a brilliant idea you had - top man

I think its a good mod for little money. Its gone from doing the two front doors, then the two back doors, the boot, and now someones kitchen cupboards! Fantastic.

Under bonnet lighting anyone :giggle: , seriously though, bargain mod of this month for sure.

Glovebox?

5 quid now a strip, sod that :D

£5.99 now from this seller.

And everyone else it seems, gits :D

Oh yes. The good old days of £3.98 each are over!

Sorry. £3.98 for two they were!

Look alright to me?

Postage from hong Kong though. They could take weeks to come.

I ordered 2 pairs for less than £4, I don't mind waiting at that price :)

I ordered another 3 pairs for £5.......ish, ill let you know how long it takes when they arrive!

12 days it took for them to arrive from Hong Kong so not too bad really! I don't know how they manage to make them, list them and post them for £1.89 though, but I aint complaining!!!

No 12 days is alright considering where they've came from. How do they compare to the other sellers lights?

bought some white led strips off ebay for a couple of quid after deciding to tap into to red lights in the door card to make 'puddle' lights.

parked in a multistorey to test them this morning after fitting.

Just what I did on my furby - wouldn't be without them now!!

Finally got round to doing mine - super easy to do they were too, although one of the LED strips had thin wires that were a PITA to scotch lock onto the door light wires.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide for adding these things into the boot? The only thing I'd really like to see is how people with one bootlight have got power to both sides...

They look completely different to the last ones that were fitted that now cost £5+ each, The wires seem to be a lot thinner too..................

Only time will tell if there as good/better as they obviously need fitting. Unless someone can tell me how to power them before going near the car?
