Nice one mate. Ta for that.

Click and "reverse"..

will try that

You can't get better than Pagid for the price

I did cheap as I needed cheap this time round and got front and rears from GSF for £31 delivered. :)

Last set did 32k from them, so even a 3rd of the mileage and I'd be happy.

I got a set of standard Mintex for mine, which are fine as I don't really drive it that fast.  Decent stopping power, especially compared to the previous cheapo pads and brake fluid that turned out to have 40% water.  Cheers previous owner...

I never got the chance to find out (thankfully), as I bought it in the August heatwave and had the brakes done soon after.  Otherwise I'd have probably been talking to you all from beyond the grave!

Woo Hoo!!! New Discs and Pads arrived today... Christ theres some difference in the appearance of the discs,

given the shiny new coating and unworn-ness of the disc, compared to the completely fubar-ed ones on the car!!!

Now... Are they difficult to change ones' self, or whats the craic doing it/

Piece of cake to do buddy. No special tools needed.. just remember to press back caliper pistons with a large flat screw driver with old pads and discs still in place so they can take new pads.

When I did mine the stubby philips screw that holds the disc to the hub snapped. On both sides! And use some brake cleaner and wipe the discs. From new they have a clear coating on them. It stops them rusting on the shelf.

cheers lads, will decide over the weekend how brave im feeling..

may chat with me buddy down in a tyre depot about borrowing his ramp / big jacks for a while.

and maybe his experience too....

I've just done the rear disks and pads on mine, not something I tackled before.

The main problem I had was the discs were rusted on to the hubs, it took lots of WD40 and levering to get them to come off.

Also retracting the rear pistons was hard, required alot of pressure whilst turning it clockwise.

I got the job done and was very satisying, but quite difficult in my opinion.

Having a caliper rewind tool makes it a lot easier for the rears.

Well at least mine are only the fronts, so shudnt be as bad. I watched a coupple of youtube vids last night, so looks okat to do...

Its not a bad job probably the worst you'll find is if the bolts are seized. JSme I was just wondering if your calipers have been replaced? When I replaced the rear discs and pads I also struggled to get the piston back even with the wind back tool. Not long after I had a caliper seize on. I've since changed pads with a new caliper fitted and the piston went back so easy. Just something to keep an eye on.
