Error enabling HHC

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm trying to retrofit Hill Hold Control on my Yeti 1.2 TSI. According to the sticker my ABS unit is a 1AT type, which should be capable of doing both TPMS an HHC. However, neither of those works. Right now I'm more interested in HHC, so I'll focus on that.

If I enable Hill Hold via VCDS, I get the following error:

If reset the fault codes, I get another code:

The original coding for the ABS unit is 913F200E092305FF891404EB901DA040300000

Has anyone ever seen this stuff? Shall I forget HHC and TPMS on my Yeti?

I also followed this procedure I found on ross tech, but couldn't make it work:

[Select]
[03 - Brake Electronics]
[Measuring Blocks - 08]
Group 004
[Go!]
Check field 2, 3 and 4 - their value has to be between -1.5 and +1.5 m/s² or °/s.
[Done, Go Back]
[Security Access - 16]
Enter 40168, to enable the basic setting.
[Do it!]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 061
[Go!]
Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
After a successful basic setting, field 2 should say "OK".
[Done, Go Back]
To make sure the basic setting was succesful, check the sensor again.
[Measuring Blocks - 08]
Group 004
[Go!]
Check field 2, 3 and 4 - their value has to be between -1.5 and +1.5 m/s² or °/s.
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

Fields 2 and 3 in the block 4 are OK, but field 4 is empty.

Shall I foget HHC?

Hill hold won't work on 1K0 907 379 BK

I had a BK on my Vrs TPMS does work, although I couldn't enable it on a caddy van that had the same pump

If you want Hill hold, you will have to change your ABS unit to a BJ or BL

I have changed mine and now have Hill Hold and Park assist

Hi Eddie,

do you have info on 1K0 907 379 BH  ABS unit whether HHC can be enabled on it or not?

Indirect TMPS without TMPS reset button, but with reset via Maxidot works on BH,

BH is a lower version, so not possible

Thanks. In the meanwhile I've found this post of yours, so it's clear. What made me thinking: UG0/UG3. Is it posible to enable XDS without HHC?

If yes, how? I've only found Byte 17,  bit 3 in ABS, but it corresponds to UG3/UG4. Is there an option to enable XDS with UG0/UG3 PR code?

According to singh946, he has XDS without HHC. His Byte 17 is 08, which means bit3 is ticked, if I'm right. But I can't  check Byte0...Byte14, because Ross-Tech had hidden it.

XDS should be possible on BH, only early versions of Mk60EC1 didn't support it

VCDS doesn't always give you the options that are possible

I've tried it (tick Byte17 bit 3) and the code was accepted.

I've also checked the XDS option in the Adaptation menu, it is active now (there options are available). Before ticking Byte17 bit 3 this adaptation option was not available.

Beside this is there anything else to doublecheck whether this coding is ok and doesn't have any infulence on other systems? I'm always a bit suspicious and anxious when it comes to mess with the ABS.
