Sedox/remap in Sunderland/North East

Featured Replies

Has anyone used this company for a remap?

Any recommendations in the North East for a 1.6CR remap?

Don't know about Sedox, but I do know that Big Fish Tuning in Stokesley is a good company. Had my Octavia vRS PD170 mapped there, great smooth map. John, the guy who runs it, really knows his stuff so worth giving him a call.

I work in Stokesley!!!

I've not heard of them/him before, might have to look them up.

The only reason I picked on Sedox is that Shark or Revo (I can't remember which) website directs you to

their site as an 'approved' installer.

Richard Martin automotive is a supplier of APR and DNA tuning remap software. I think he's in shotton colliery just off the A19.

Looked for the Big Fish Tuning place in Stokesley, seemed to be closed up.

Also tried AutoMark in Stokesley, they said it couldn't be mapped - not yet anyway!

Sedox seem to be the only place 'local' to Middlesbrough that can do it with confidence.

They advertise that they can program the TriCore ECU.

Shame I can't find anyone more local to potentially do it.

Did you phone BFT or just pop in? Usually have to phone up and book in.

i would check with Revo as i don't think sedox are any longer a revo dealer.

Also sedox in sunderland is associated with the same guy that was behind PD Tuning and VSport both of Boldon.

Check out those 2 on google and you may find some nice surprises..

Hmmmm, just seen some info on PD/VSport, doesn't fill me with confidence!!

And Sedox has such a fancy website......

Isn't there a 'Shark' approved place in York??

Will probably contact BFT also.

Sharks you're best bet, and that's coming from me who can offer you an alternative ..

There's a jabba sport dealer in hebburn, South Shields.

Had mine done at big fish tuning in stokesly as well, John is too bloke and works wonders with his mapsX lovely and smooth all the time.

JJB motors on James street are Shark dealers.

Iv used sedox or my fabia mk1 remap, great lads always busy! No complaints from me!

Was it a load and go map or did they use a rolling road?

Rolling road

What figures did u get from them? I'm skipping stage one and going straight for stage 2 once I buy the hardware. Just need front mount and a TIP.

I have used this company 3 times Clio 182 remap, Mondeo st diesel remap, and last time was on a C2 gt, Always had good results from them and good after sale service. Also the vrs I have just bought was done by them as well.

Mine was running 137bhp standard then they mapped it to 177bhp love it!

Before you get a Sedox map, have a read of this thread on SCN. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=360607

As 'Clarkyzs' says, there is MB Motorsport up in Hebburn, who do Jabba maps, (sponsor on here). I've not been to it, but know the guy who runs it. I too have not herd of any bad reviews of BFT in Stokesley, plus I believe he has a rolling road too.

There is also triplehmotorsport in North Shields.

I spoke to guy in Hebburn and he said he doesn't really do it anymore but could if I wanted to, at least with sedox you have rolling road there to "prove" your figures

I don't think you've read the thread that he posted on sedox have you? I wouldn't let them tune a guitar never mind my car. Some horrific reviews on them claiming they are revo maps when in fact, they are not. If you work/live in stokesly give john at big fish a call and he will tell you what your best options are. Having had mine to him, my cars won't go to anyone else now put it that way.

Read the thread who posted on sedox? I'm confused :/

The reply Jim H put with a link to Seat cupra.net which is a thread about sedox

I went to Sedox today and they have either closed or moved again, Had a quick ride around the industrial estate but couldn't see any signs of them.
