Are there any pics of a rally green estate,thinking of changing my order,and also dropping black pack and sunset glass,is this wise or would the green look better with these options,cheers everyone

Iv not got a pic of the rally green estate, but think the black pack and sunset glass would contrast and look really good against the green!

As for black pack and sunset glass, I have the glass as it adds a bit of security (more difficult to see in the boot if I forget the cover) but didn't go for the black pack.

 

Not a good day, and the car is manky but this is a side profile of my car for comparision

Sometimes I do regret switching from Race Blue to Candy White for mine. Race Blue is such a lovely color and it suits the estate so well...

thanks very much for your responses and advice,iv decided to change mine now to rally green,though it will be my luck that it will have been given a build date and i wont be able to change it,iv also considered your responses re the black pack and sunset glass, and agree that it suits the car, so am sticking with those options,

I'm assuming not because you have blue wing mirrors. Reason I ask is because I have ordered a race blue hatch. I have not ordered black pack as I don't want the black mirrors and I quite like the silver/chrome surround between the black grill and the blue bonnet. What I would prefer though is the trim under the side windows to be black rather than silver/chrome. Your estate has that trim in black and yet the race blue hatch shown in the thread linked to a few posts above does not have black pack and DOES have the silver side window trim.

No black pack on mine. I think the window surrounds are something to do with order dates but I'm sure someone will be able to clarify.

Thanks for that. i may start another thread to find out. I only ordered 2 weeks ago so i guess ill only definitely find out when the car arrives. Probably next june

Don't start entirely new threads for things you can easily find just using the search function...

 

 

So so tempted to change from white. I only have a provisional build date of wk13 (ordered my white one on 29th October) so should be able to change without any problem. At least it will be easier to find in a car park!

I really like the green, think it will take over in a while as the race blue of the future

All the doubters will wish they had the b..lls to have gone for it, especially when they become the sought after colour in the future, there were not too many in the mk2 FL.

I think the Octavia mk2/3 was made for it as it wears the colour really well, irrespective of hatch or estate.

But then I'm biased

Is it still only available on the vRS (hatch/estate) or is it on any model yet?

Tin Corner - have you changed your order to a green one yet?

I spoke to my dealer today, my white one (ordered 29th October) is at stage 10 with a provisional build date of week 13.

This means I could change my colour from white (had already ordered black back, pano roof etc)

it will look stunning, theres a photo of one in an earlier post on this thread, mine im told is at the port at tyne, tdi estate with black pack,  my current vrs is also rally green
