Hey Guys.

Here is my mkIII  vrs. Lowered a further 25mm on Eibach springs.  Axe ex ss 8.5 x 19" alloys with 45mm off set, front splitter sprayed panther black, full leather interior.  Hope you like it...

Nice wheels.  Where did you get the from?  I was looking at the same ones but could only find them with a 40mm offset.

Such a shame the arch gap makes it look like a 4x4 from that angle. Lovely car though.

Yes I think thats the angle which makes it look like that. I was literally lying flat on the road... ;-)

I parked next to an SE last night in my vRS. Mine is lowered on Eibach springs and the difference was vast. You could almost lose a hand inside the arches of the SE. Lovely looking car but I agree with the other comment it's ruined a little by the ride hand especially on the Black Edition which gives the idea of sportiness.

IMHO of course.

Definitely for better photos place the camera above the car :)

Those black Turini's really suit the blue

Yep. When I first came up with the concept (Black Turinis/Black Mirror Caps/Black Grill) back in June, the Black Editions weren't around and hoped it would be fairly unique! When it arrived on stilts I also decided it needed lowering. Now sitting 40mm lower on H&R springs.

And just to add - I still LOVE it - even more after a road trip to Denmark brought me close to 60 mpg (long term figure).

Haven't seen any pics of a octavia3 with trailor yet...

I have towed three different trailors allready and it has enoght power to go up mountains with more than good speed  :D

I reckon Skoda might have seen your car and decided to bring black edition and black sport pack... :-))

The nice thing about the Turini's is they look black, but they are not. Black is too black, if you know what I mean?

:nerd:

Looking at the wheel picture, am I right in thinking that the rubber is slightly prouder than the outer edge of the rim. Unlike my std 18" rims. Its cringe time every time I pull into a kerb, even with alloygaters which are getting well scuffed and don't clean up as their video shows.

Nice wheels MrWhipp...How do you find the ride quality?..Thinking of specc'ing them in mt vRS but I'm worried about making the ride too harsh over country roads?...Most of my driving is on motorway but my local driving would be country roads so just wondering..

Get what you mean about people wandering up and talking to you..When I made the move from city to countryside about 11 years ago I thought there were speed traps everywhere cos every driver I passed waved at me!

With the Mrs out for the evening I managed a decent evening clean on my VRS.  I waxed it when I bought it which was about 2 months ago and now it just needs a quick shampoo and comes up lovely!

Very pleased with it...when I was washing 3 neighbours came out of their houses to talk to be about the car...being from London originally I'm not used to speaking to my neighbours!!!

More likely to hate you for managing to keep a white car so clean every day!...Looks great

Hey thanks mate.. You wouldn't believe I haven't even cleaned the car since I have bought it and it has been 3 weeks now. Also, we have had bad storms recently. I think its the moon white metallic colour which doesn't show dirt as much as candy white.

For now, I'll accept the compliment.. :-))

I know exactly what you mean. On my citigo sport I have black glossy alloys and TBH I much prefer the look of the Turini's which are matt black and they look bit grey'ish..

I don't know actually. Its good you mentioned. Looking at the pictures they do look bit proud. Let me check it once I am out..

I have Goodyear's fitted to my 18's and they do stand proud of the rim edge slightly (thankfully)

The EfficientGrip Performance is a fantastic tyre and not a bad price (on Tyre Leader website)

Rallye Green Tsi dsg Estate. After 3 months I actually got some shots without the house in the background. Tried with camera yesterday, but the files were too big. so back to the trusty phone. :nerd:

some may notice the Alloygaters which will come off when I get a tyre change and the door edge protectors. may spoil the looks, but in the real world, useful :smirk:

Looks great mate. I love that colour. Unfortunately not available on the Elegance and as SWMBO chose the colour I wouldn't have been 'allowed' green anyway even if it was!

:sun:

I was going for 1 of the 2 red's, But wasn't keen when they showed a plastic swatch of them, thinking other half wouldn't like the green as she didn't when the mk2 came out. But she saw a saloon  in the compound at the dealers just before the launch week for the saloon. and said I like that. So jumped before a mind change.

Nothing against the blue, but that's what every dealer seemed to have, in November, and I wanted different. The work car park is full of black, grey, silver and white, so mine is easy to spot in the dark.
