My Octy Elegance short review with plenty of pics =)

Looks REALLY nice PekoSI.  Once it has done a few hundred miles, I would be interested to hear how it does on twisty Alpine roads (e.g. overtaking a coach or lorry) and if you get much there, in the snow and ice.  You seem to get better service (options and delivery) out there than appear to be available in the UK.

Some extra morning + night shots   :)

Hey, I know that view!

Was it a field trip or are you from Kamnik area as well? Who was your dealer?

Nope I live around here. Got it from SPC Skerjanec, they were great.

Cestitam, PekoSi! Veliko varnih kilometrov ti zelim :-)

For all the others: can you tell me where you ordered the car from? Also, I think I saw you in BTC the other day. I'm waiting for my Octavia Mk3 1.6Tdi estate in this exact trim and color :) can't wait...

Small world we live in (and even smaller country)!  :D  Quite possibly you saw me, I was there on friday with the Mrs. Like I said my dealer was SPC Skerjanec. Well you definitely picked the best model and colour! You'll enjoy it very much once it's yours.

... in Hvala!  :)

They do look good in that colour. Looking forward to getting mine next year.

?estitke in sre?no vožnjo, PekoSI!

I'm also waiting for my combi elegance 1.4... one month to go...

got two questions:

1. what strategy did you use to run in the new beauty?

2. what are your fuel consumption stats?

Man, those Denoms look ace, such a shame I'm probably not going to get a set.

How dare they discontinue them!

Congrats on the car. I got 1.4 TSI Elegance also but a hatch. Same thoughts it's awesome.

1. As far as the engine goes I used the hard break in method. Once the engine was properly warmed up I used full throttle in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear in the range of around 1500-3500 rpm (that's where the engine has the highest torque). I never and still don't go into high engine revs though - over 4000 rpm. That will come later. Whether I did right or wrong time will tell...

2. At the moment very bad since I'm still using full throttle most of the time. It's around 6.5 - 7 l/100km (~35 mpg)

I don't think they look any better than the standard 17" wheels *but* I would have chosen them if available as they'll be a hell of a lot easier to keep clean :D

Where did you get your Warning Triangle from that fits in the boot? I have the fittings but would like to purchase one that fits best.

Got it for free from my dealer together with first aid kit. Fits nicely.

  • 1 month later...
