Boot lights

Featured Replies

Has anyone upgraded the interior lighting in the boot of their car? Thinking if doing this to give a better spread of light throughout the boot.

Just wondered if anyone had experience of this or could recommend led strip lights

501 fitting and LED's ...Yes...Transforms the boot

501 fitting??

This is what I'm looking at - Look at this on eBay:

9v - 12v Super Bright Xenon White LED Strip 15cm Custom Lighting Car Bike Mod

I know nothing of these strips...I was referring to LED's to replace the OEM bulbs

Ok thanks. May just get them and try them for the few quid they are.

Check out the octy 1 section,  see puddle lights, a lot of us are using strips to good effect, and the boot is the next target for these to go. :giggle:

I had already looked at that kentphil, hence the idea, I borrowed it!!

Exactly what I'm looking at doing but with the 15cm strips.

Are these Scotch locks any good as I've seen them mentioned on here a few times?

If used with the correct colour scotchlok for the thickness of the wire, they are ok, think from memory, red is for thin wires, blue for medium wiring, and yellow/beige for high current wiring. Will never be a solder quality join, but a good second best if used with care.

Cool. Will get a variety pack then!!

This is one I want to try, can only seeing it being a step up in lighting again from change to LED Bulbs.

Maybe one for the other side of Christmas now though.
