yeah, mine are ordered too!!! Who was it that after joining this site I would have to start digging deep? New tyres, New badges, New speakers, New Headlights, and now these! Now all I need to do if find someone to do a little paintwork for me! (hint hint)

That boot idea is great!!!

This mod is an expensive commodity now, £2.59 per strip!

I might do some for the boot, pair of led strips each side where the speakers are, glowing boot!

Lol. Oh god I thought I finished a mod and here we go again, now I have to do it. I already added a second std light to the boot so this will be easy.

This was actually going to be the first thing I did before the other puddle lights. I only have one working light in my boot (normal?) and it's ****e anyway. I can never see anything. Especially with all the junk and ktichen sinks I keep in there!

I've just ordered two more for the back doors. Now £5.18!

If your doing the back doors why not run a couple wires up to the rear interior light position for leds (for those models that don't have a rear int light) or put three leds inside the existing rear interior light fitting for those who have only a manually switched one.  I believe the strips can be cut in groups of three leds - some strips even have the cut lines marked on them.

The options are endless with these!

Seller obviously cottoned on to the fact we were all buying them, new seller required!

I initially bought 4 of these strips with the intention of putting two in the boot as well, obviously running them off the existing boot lights, trying to decide on the best location, ill sit tight and wait until someone more intelligent does it for me I think ;)

Haven't got round to fitting the fronts yet either, has anyone got a picture of how you connected the led's wiring into the standard door wiring? What did you use to join them up? Also, how are you finding the 3m sticky pad on them? Is it proving man enough to last or will I need something stronger?

Scotch locks and make sure the surface is very clean and use a lot of pressure.  Maybe even heat the adhesive up as its cold now...

Yeah I think can divide in banks of 3 which is handy in smaller areas

I would say I bought 2 more today and gone up 79p each

Yep that is what I did. Heating up to get the best tackiness to stick on panel

I am thinking these could be a nice source of under-cupboard lighting in my kitchen.  For anyone who has fitted them (to their cars) would you thing they could be suitable - ie. bright enough?

I realise I need a 12v dc supply, but that is easy enough to deal with

Yes, definitely bright enough.

Take a look at their site. They have strips in various lengths using smaller leds for exactly that purpose. Comes with mains to 12V converters with correct plug for the strip. Thought about buying a long length of these and cutting them up for different uses (without the mains adapter). You can even get full spectrum variable colour strips with remote colour controller.  Mount under your car?- that would be fun!

I like to think the seller of these has suddenly noticed 50 people buying his LEDs in a super short time frame and is sat there thinking "WTF?!"

I bet he knows people are talking about them..

I know when people talk about my wiper blanks.

:)

They are getting a bit slower on delivery. I ordered two days ago thought I would get them this morning but nothing came. I'm sure the first set came the next day. Probably snowed under with all the orders!

Briskoda single handedly kick starting Britain's economy!!

Briskoda has make his chrismas bright. .....excuse the pun.

Mine came this morning so still good postage. Will tackle the rear boot maybe over weekend.

Yeah they are good. Just got my two back ones this morning. Only ordered on the 4th so still quick postage.

Lights in the boot look spot on.  I am thinking about buying a 5m length of lights (for the kitchen cupboards), so I cut some lengths for my boot :-)  Looking on amazon you can even get LED dimmer modules (with a remote control) - could be hand for true car pimping ;-)

You know, I've watched this car evolve gradually on here over the last 2 and a bit years, and I can honestly say that whilst some of your mods have been a bit brave for me to try, I have never found anything that you have done that I have disliked in any way. This is the sort of car that I would really love to own - looks subtle and in places oem - and I mean that as a compliment not an insult Bowders.

Top job, just get those how to's up :giggle:
