  • One of those JML magic erasers that you can use on pots, pans, walls etc to remove marks! Just rub it on when wet then dry it all off, job done.http://www.ryman.co.uk/5101040016/JML-Doktor-Power-Magic

  • Did you get the pipe on..? I used 1m and ran It down next to the exhaust tunnel.. Fabia's looking great btw, loving the wheels especially..

  • Did some bits over weekend:     got some new trim delivered to fix my damaged seat:     and my friend did me a quick photoshop of the car:

I also had a mess about with the arm rest, trying to figure out how to mount it the best way:

Could use the rear bracket:

Or pull it forwards and try and build a spacer to miss the handbrake cable:

Going to wait until i can get the seats out and have a proper look

Pipe was very tight so dumped in cup of boiling water for a bit and then got it on. No pics though, forgot to take any. I used 1m as well but first route had it practically sat on exhaust so ive given it a wiggle and kinda sits over steering rack.

only downside is now my cig lighter and ashtray light dont light up! not to bothered about cig lighter as the case is broken, all my other interior lights work, might try the bulbs.

Ash tray bulb is a common thing, think the bulb is like £5!

Hmm may have to get my armrest welded in!

  • Author

i will admit that ive had to cut the rear cover to make it fit but its not noticable with seats in. will try a new bulb just typical it stops after ive bolted it all in.

Cut what rear cover mate? The one on the arm rest?

Mine needs welding! My missus leant on mine on it's come loose! Still supports my arm but annoying that it's not sturdy!

  • Author

yeah cut the rear cover on arm rest. thats what i was worried about it coming loose or breaking so thought do it once do it properly!

had interior valeted today so it no longer smells of cigs and ive got white seats again, pics to follow.

Just need to sort out the drivers bolster, bought this today:

Heated seat kit, elements, switches, most the loom. Should be fun to fit.

Well i only meant to nip in garage for a minute but ended up doing some work, i started fitting my autolights kit. Most of its done i just need to get at the handbrake switch so i need to take passenger seat out for access:

30d6103d36f0a0b441953c9541a3adb0_zps2ed8

I also wanted to see what my heated switches looked like in place so i popped them in, then i didnt like the arrangement of the heated rear screen and asr buttons so shifted them to the middle, had to cut some little tags off the switches though to get them in:

Does look better with the switches in the middle :)

Yeah not sure why skoda put those tabs on so they only fit on a certain slot, seems a bit daft.

As the fabia is kind of lacking in creature comforts and looking at what my brothers golf has and my mums fiesta im going to replicate a few of them. Starting with downlight led's, yes the holes were wonky but i sorted that

f3e996d1fd4cd50b4a2fee83aca8e804_zpsf859

Glued them in, next up was the cubby hole under the stereo

Then the same for the door handles

Testing

Done a bit of wiring, soldered them and cliped them to the existing loom

c80b918fe3aa9ea6ae4dbcd4373d9dfa_zps02ca

Then i fitted the footwell light and plug

Just need to find a feed for the footwell lights and rear door lights.

Impressive work mate. Love stuff like this.
