VRS arrived - no rear mudguards?

Featured Replies

Car arrived today at the dealership (nipped in to take a peek and sign financials)... The front mudguards were fitted as asked, but there were no rears?

I was under the impression they were standard, but the rep thought they weren't available on the vRS estate?

Can anyone else who've picked up their estate confirm? :)

Theyre still pretending that the mudflaps don't fit the vRS are they!! LOL

Mudguards are not standard on the vRS, thankfully, would be annoying the car coming with parts you have to take off and bin the day you collected it.

The only models it's make sense to have them standard on would be the 4x4 or scout.....

Why doesn't it make sense?

Why doesn't it make sense?

Because it doesn't need them, they look really bad and don't suit the styling if the car.

In your opinion ...perhaps :notme:

I think I'm going to have to put that in my signature, of course it's my opinion!

There's three things this forum is obsessed with - mudflaps, winter tyres and replying to every post with "that's your opinion". It's bizarre!

And yes, that's my opinion.

...IMO too!

Mud guards on what is supposed to be a sporty car look a little...well..naff.

Er no, being able to see out the back is actually useful, for example when reversing.

Maybe I should have put some sort of smiley in there.

Still wouldn't have made any sense, the rear wiper is actually useful so I've no idea what your point is.....

My opinion is purely of a practical nature - on my MK II non-vRS it is amazing how much dirt and spray the mudflaps stopped getting all over the car, especially the fronts which aren't standard!

Sent from my phone so please excuse brevity and spelling
