golf mk4 stereo

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone tell me if a mk4 golf stero will fit straight into my 2002 octavia.

If i remember rightly from my dad having a bora does it light up blue? will i need new connector block or is it a straight swap?

cheers for any info

ebay has plenty of golf stereos but lacking on mk1 octavia ones.

thread moved to octavia section

Should be a straight swap, think you're right they light up blue.

Don't forget to get the code

Yeah good point about the code, not worth getting one without it.

If you want a stereo with green illumination you could look for a Fabia or Superb type

There are a couple of mk1 Octavia Stereo's on EBay for sale at the moment. There are also some mk2 stereo's although I'm not sure if they would fit or not??????

Did read elsewhere the mk2 stereos are a mare to fit, need a new surround and lots of fettling.

Ill keep an eye on eBay, can get a mk4 golf one with a code for 20 quid, just thought ut may be worth a punt, cheers for all your replys.

Mk2 stereo's won't fit due to being fully canbus which the mk1 isnt

mk1 superb is what I swapped my original for as it doesn't have a tape player which looks stupid in this day and age...

lights up green, and has a cd slot and also connects to the cd auto changer in the boot just unplug onl and plugged in and put in the code
