Well today was D Day. It was do or die. I used a claw hammer in the end and literally clawed it out.

Like this..

Couldnt get the c clip back on so used a load of heat resistant sealant. I turned it over and no rough idling etc but i'll give it 24hrs for it too cure before I test under boost.

Its 5,000 miles since an oil change so its being booked in locally for that hopefully tuesday. Going to ask them to sort the broken dipstick aswell and fit that C clip because there is no way im getting my hands dirty again!! The S bend breather pipe I also replaced with a red silicone one (no photo).

Really looking forward to driving it again.!

I had the same problem with the plastic bit it's so brittle. I've got an old Hoover in the garage so used that to remove the debris. The C clip can be a pig and took me a few goes before I found the old O ring has still in the housing. Gutter about the dipstick tube though seems I was luckily with mine or it was fairly new.

Still having limp mode boost cut or whatever you want to call it. Maybe the sealant isnt holding. Going to take it apart and give it another go to get the C Clip on. Although if feels extremly tough and not loose.

Havent booked it in at the garage for an oil change yet. Lost my debit card so have to wait for a replacement. Uhhh!!

Wont be using the car for a couple of days as I get the train to work every day.

FYI not sure anyone noticed but I hadnt put a VRS badge on the grill after I sprayed it. So a fresh badge went on tonight. Will get a better photo tomorrow.

Just glued on with some strong adhesive, left it to cure overnight and put it on this morning.

What fuel do you use mate?

The expensive high ron stuff, thats what it was mapped to. It can run on normal stuff but advised not to run it on boost.

Minor service done. Drives perfect. Loads of power with no cut.

Had a minor service done aswell inc x2 front tyres. Budget performance as they say. 205/50/17 Primewell 910 sport. Decent reviews online minus hefty pricetag.

This was parked outside. Not sure if being broken for spares or being rebuilt.

Attempted my own wakbox mod!

Basically loads of holes drilled in the airbox!

Result: Sound of a cone filter, inc louder dump, OEM look in the engine bay. No reduced power like I had with a cone filter.

For a free mod I am impressed.
