Ok guys. Im stuck!

I dont know whether to go 17inc RS6 wheels on my fabia vRS, lowered 25mm on eibachs OR

18inch RS6 lowered 25mm on eibachs????

I have found both wheels for the same price both from reliable dealers...so what do we reckon? Benefits? Pitfalls?

18!!!! lol but it might look really really tall!

TBH, I would stick with the 16", but I voted 17" if you really want the RS6's.

18" would ruin the ride, especially with the slighty stiffer Eibachs.

You could go 18 but the rubber bands you will have for tyres will upset the handling, especially when cornering. so I vote 17's

What profile tyres etc. would have to be got for the 18s?

18" RS6 wont fit at 8" they are to wide i tried some on the other day. 18" alloys will fit but no more than 7 and a half inch wide with 215/35/18 tyres.

35's

I would still like the R32 alloys but dont think I want 18's asthetically it would look great but wouldnt want to ruin the handling :(

Who knows, but my vote gets the 17's

:iagree:

18s would look great but you will slow the car down.. and the ride...

IIRC those Replica VAG wheels are quite heavy like for like. :(

18's wont fit the Fabia. Will they?

JBS had 18x8's on their fabia, they may even have been 8.5" wide. It's the ET that's more important, but some of it is gona come down to trial and error due to the lack of people that have done.

Personally I'd go with 17's as 18's will ruin the ride and make it look a bit like a roller skate.

Yes replica wheels are very heavy compared to OEM and quality brands.

didnt know you had a Fabia when i voted... dont think you'll get 18's on it without arch mods.

21" chromed spinners would be my vote - if you are going to make it look silly and degrade the ride, go the whole hog :D

HTH

Oh and as Eddy says, it's the offset that counts.

18's will fit with no arch mods as long as you stick to ET30-35 iirc and use a 215/35 tyre.

I had that size tyre on my Astra and it drove just fine

If I still had my Fabia it would be running on 18's for sure.

If you want the easy route then go for 17", they go straight on no rubbing and catching with 205/40 R17 tyres they don't put the speedo out to much either.

Because i decided on 17" i don't know how the car will react on 18". The wheels and tyres i put on feel gd, have improved the handling, reduced roll and road noise seems to have dropped to!

Mine still needs lowering tho, how far to go is the question!!!!

Pic whooooorrreee!!!

as said above, i think 18s are a bit overkill for a furby..

Tonys looked the absolute dogs.. but as hes said, it pretty much cancels out the performance of a chip due to the weight... but on the flip side i thought the JBS furby (rip) on fat-*** 18"s looked like a rollerskate.

My vote is for 17'' :)
