Thinking of getting my Oct VRS chipped

Featured Replies

Hi there

I have been thinking for a while to get my 2002 Octavia VRS chipped. I have heard that this can be done, also you can buy a device that allows you to switch it on and off, is this correct?

Hello yes.

There are a few around and they are Remaps opposed to chips.

This is Software opposed to Hardware.

There are also a few ways that they can be switched back to standard.

We can offer you Custom-Code www.custom-code.co.uk

This is done by downloading the software via the diagnostic port.

Then the VagCom cable and a laptop can be used to turn this back to standard in case you require any Warranty repairs.

Hope this helps

I'm no teckie but yes their are a few that enable you to switch between codes.

APR - www.goapr.co.uk Can be switch using the Cruise control stick.

REVO - www.revotechnik.com By using SP1 ODBII tool to switch between maps

AmD- www.amdtechnik.com Now do one-click for 1.8T's Like above uses ODBII tool.

Custom Code - www.custom-code.co.uk By using custom code software on a laptop and a VAg-com cable

DMS - www.dmsautomotive.com Like AmD one-click

i'm sure theirs other I've missed.

Slight thread-hijack (soz) - I thought there was work underway to allow a similar system to AMD's one-click but then for custom code?
