I like it, it's a brave man who does mods like this to a new car. It definitely complements your car. :)

Whether it because of the wheels but just looked out of proportion so thought give it a try worst case put old springs back on and sell lowered ones but that wont be the case now :).

Bring on project No 2??

Thank you very much.

Haha this is project no.2 next is no.3 possibly spacers but may just leave it as is to be honest I'm happy now.

So iv experimented with Genuine VW led number plate lights, to many's disgust and now the suspension. Think thats me done maybe a few VCDS tweeks but that should be it from me.

Rob

Well done for pushing the envelope and going for it. I've always liked eibach springs on other cars I've had them fitted to. Nice to see some individuality. :)

Thank you very much.

Take a breath Rob.

New Years resolution- leave it alone.

Looks fine- forget the tuning route!

Haha yes that shall be the resolution. Wont be tuning it, don't see the point, for an everyday i think its reasonable power wise.

I don't like been the same as everyone else, excluding the white haha, but hence the wheels and lowering.

Looks grand Rob and I do really like the xtremes, stands out from all the Gemini'd wheeled cars that'll be everywhere before long. Know its not for one minute a concern for you but I dont think i'd consider doing the same as the ride will already be bordering on over-firm..particularly for family use.

Yes for family use id say its border line not pleasant for kids ect. I don't have that yet so for me is fine, but know exactly where your coming from. Rear hardness id say is more apparent now, but overall id say not a massive difference.

Looks like someone has let yours tyres down. Not my cup of tea, but them i'm old !

Nothing wrong with being an Old Fart like me, just makes you more measured.

But okay too admire enthusiasm / youth.

Im not a youth :). Im a grown man with a beard. I don't have children to spend the money and work on the basis of save a bit and spend a bit so why not have something how i want it :), i like my cars so why not. Maybe when im older priorities will changed but this is actually the first car iv done something to, my mk2 i simply had wheels powder coated black and that was it.

that looks great rob - best mk3 i've seen so far.

did you measure before and after?

Looks really gd mate

Looks great. As for the £'s, I think that's reasonable tbh. Defo adds to the overall look IMO. :)

  • Author

I thought the price was reasonable fitted. Without the discount i probably wouldn't of had it done.

Is it petrol or diesel?

  • Author

Thank you, its a diesel one.

Fabulous. If I get a Mk3 in 2014 then I want it to look exactly like yours.
