VRS - Octavia delivery times - :(

Featured Replies

To be honest i'm not sure but from other threads on here people have suggested the lane assist and and AFS light assist may get dropped off. I can't see it somehow and just the optional extras (if anything) will be changed.

You get the car that you paid for and all new orders from March 1st will probably be restricted on their options.

I'll update tommorrow once I pick mine up!

Have not notices anything dissapear from the configurator, but did notice they finally added the 19" wheel option

  • I spoke to SUK today, my provisional build week has gone from wk17 to wk13 since last weekend so here's to hoping it continues to come down. Still I'm with the 14 platers so in reality wouldn't want a

  • This is what you want...

  • In czech is same problem, people wating 4-6 months for vRS, if you have panorama roof, all assist....

It's rare to see octavia vrs's come through the docks. But, today I seen 2. A red estate and a white estate. Unfortunately didn't check where they we're going. But from now on I'll check and post on here and let you know if you're cars are in the docks at Grimsby.

Hi Matt, sorry to hear that you are in the same position, but it sounds positive that the dealer is going to help you out with a bridging-loan car :)

I'm happy to wait for the car, i'm very excited about the order and options, it's just the gap that I am going to be left with.

The dealers have said they don't have any vehicles they can lend me, which is why I contacted Skoda UK.

My current leasing company would only extend the lease if I ordered a new vehicle through them unfortunately.

I spoke with the dealer today, and they are now not sure if they will be able to provide a loan vehicle now...

Fed up with being ****ed about. I popped in to the local Jag dealership this afternoon, they will do an XF sportbrake 200hp Lux for £30500, repayments are only about £40 more than the VRS would be - if it ever arrives.

Jag can also deliver for March ;-)

I think I have fair grounds to cancel the VRS as my order form states 1st March delivery...

I know what you mean.

I refer back to my post #74. Weeks with no communication and then they called the day after the car had arrived to ask when I can pick it up!!!! It's friday for mine now.

It'll all be worth it in the end......

Picked car up Friday. It's been well worth the wait. Dealer gave me a full 1.5 hr handover!!!

Another quick update from me. I started to look in to "in stock" alternatives, Merc have some cracking deals on E250 Cdi AMG sport estates and as mentioned in a previous post the Jag XF sportbrake is also good value.

Kicked right off at Skoda UK and finally had a result. On Monday I am collecting a "support" vehicle due to the unacceptable delivery times.

For me this is just great as I was really keen on the VRS as it suits my needs and is cracking value, but I couldn't wait any longer as I had planned on receiving it no later than January. Leaving me without a car and £150 a week rental bill.

However the bad news is that provisional date has been pushed back by another week!

Will post any further updates

I await an update tomorrow once my dealer has spoke to sales support.

I think my line of attack when the inevitable happens and there's no date is to say that if they can loan me a car from my original Est delivery the great, no problem, if not then I will cancel and get a stock C250 AMG sport plus, drove one at the dealers today, brand new unregistered, could have it 1st of March....... might look at that Jag too.

Tip: go to jct600 mercedes at Sheffield and speak to victoria batty, (my sister in law) and tell her I pointed you in her direction. I bet you get a better deal!

Fantastic cars are the merc. The company I work for deliver them also and they are just great!! I'd love the E class myself. Something I can chuck a husky in the boot and still enjoy the drive.

Good luck.

Ben.

Thanks for the heads up Ben, Sheffield is a bit of a hassle for me over the coming weeks as I'm travelling with work.

My local dealer has a physical car onsite and an excellent deal on the table I'm happy with but a great recommendation none the less and much appreciated.

  • 1 month later...

Ordered mine vRS end of October (candy white, diesel, estate, manual). Just been given a build week of 14!!! Total of 26 weeks. Like you I was expecting to be driving it now.

Extras - Sunset glass, cruise control, black pack & a spare. Not much to get excited about there.

Skoda are not making many friends - disappointed seems a bit weak!!! Everyone you speak to expects this time to be reduced but a 6 month delivery time not really acceptable.

Eventually got my mota - delivered into Tyneside. Ready for me to collect mid March. 21 weeks. Happy days.
