VRS - Octavia delivery times - :(

Featured Replies

Many Thanks.

Order yet to be accepted and no word on a build week....  Original order was placed early November but the dealer has always been honest about delivery times (predicted March/April).

Maybe you shouldn't have given me the number!!

  • I spoke to SUK today, my provisional build week has gone from wk17 to wk13 since last weekend so here's to hoping it continues to come down. Still I'm with the 14 platers so in reality wouldn't want a

  • In czech is same problem, people wating 4-6 months for vRS, if you have panorama roof, all assist....

It would be great if they had an online tracker you could log into, they have all the info at the back end so just need to wrap a Web front end round it.

Would probably cause more problems than it would solve - people would soon enter a complaint when their car hadn't been built despite being ordered months previously.

I personally have no redress or cause for dissatisfaction as I've always known thanks to the posts on here and my dealer that my car was going to take some time to build.  That said, I did speak to other local dealers who assured me that Christmas delivery was possible, despite my calling end of Oct/early Nov.!

I would love an online tracker, but I would probably break my refresh button....

This thread makes me worried. I ordered on 23/12/13, tdi estate in manual with cruise, heated seats, canton and panaramic roof. Dealer said it could be 8 months but I was hoping for a little sooner. Now I am worried it might be longer!

I would like it before summer...

My vendor has always been up front about the delays. Last communication was at least 30 weeks from order to delivery. I'd done my research so I'm not suprised or upset in the slightest. If it comes early then it's a bonus! Also, there's no need to sort out the finances until 2-3 weeks before delivery so you have all that time to weigh up the best options. ;-)

Cheers,

Dave.

8 Months! Wow, that's madness.

I ordered my Octavia vRS on Christmas Eve and I was quoted 18 - 20 weeks.

I been waiting 17 weeks, As from today..!! vRS Hatch was built 17 December ( bw 51 )

Car sitting at port waiting for a ship to deliver to dealers..

It be another 2 weeks or so before I get it..

that be order - delivery 19-20 weeks

Ordered mine today.

Rallye green tdi hatch with canton sound, cruise, winter pack, sunset glass - beginning of June with a bit of luck.

Thinks someone didn't check their info before telling you delivery times, I was told 18 weeks by me dealer when ordering in early December, so looking forward to April or May to arrive!

Holycrap. What have you ordered?

Race Blue 2.0 Tsi vRS DSG, Black Pack, Adaptive Cruise, Canton Sound, Vrs Leather, Variable Boot Floor, Columbus Sat Nav, Intelligent Park, Intelligent Light, Sunset glass, towbar.

I would hazard a guess that my nerdy/childish side has caused the delay by ordering the intelligent parking!

Like some of the options on the Accord I have, they probably won't get used more than a couple of times once the novelty wears off................honest! :)

Hi

were you able to order adaptive cruise? It appears to have been taken off the system for ordering?

I see that you ordered the variable boot floor with the canton sound, when I ordered both myself and sales guy noticed in brochure that variable boot floor not available if canton ordered?

On 1 August I ordered a vRS petrol estate, manual, red, with just Amundsen, cruise control and a spare wheel as extras - and got it on 27 November.  4 months seems reasonable for a new model: I think others are suffering partly because more diesels than petrols are ordered, and also possibly because there's a shortage of some of the extras that people are ordering, because Skoda underestimated demand.

So if you want a car in reasonable time, it may be an idea to order only the extras that you actually need.

Should be able to as there are 2 versions of the boot floor, one with Canton and one without, although saying that, i added this to my order this week after already ordering early december, and the dealer said he needs to talk to SUK as the system won't let him add the boot floor as i chose Canton, yet he can see there is an option on the system for it, very strange, hopefully SUK can alter it for me manually.

I ordered on 23/12/13 but didn't even ask when it would be delivered ... knew it would be at least June

One of the biggest problems having read lots of posts on here seems to be the lack of consistent information.

A week after ordering the dealership phoned to say that the adaptive cruise had been removed from the spec but when I spoke to SUK just before Christmas they told me it hadn't.....?

Yep. I'm certainly starting to regret getting over excited about the spec. If no better news soon I will be altering a few things.

There's 2 versions of canton, 1 for normal boot, other for variable (ive ordered variable with canton).  Only issue my dealer had was that I couldn't order the simply clever pack (one with boot mat) as this clashed with variable floor.

Ordered my estate vrs tsi dsg November 7. Originally told to expect Feb. No word at all since, so I assume that won't happen.

Okay, little update received this week. Remembering that I ordered on the 1st of November, my order status had just changed back to "unconfirmed" and my expected build week is now 21...

Making it something like 35 weeks since order.

Is this acceptable? It is after all a run of the mill estate car, not a low volume sports car...

For comparison, I know someone who ordered a Yeti at the end of Jan, and have a build week 20/21.

I tried to find out if I have a build date yet Friday just gone (ordered last quarter of Jan) , but SUK customer services said the system was down ... hmmm.

It certainly looks like they underestimated the orders for the vRS and for whatever reason are struggling to get keep up with demand. It is a bit of a wait for a "normal" car granted ... but I guess it depends on how much you want one as to if its worth the wait !

Well I ordered 30th Dec and have BW 21 also, so no, if I'd ordered when you did I would not find it acceptable.

I ordered the standard issue Candy white Diesel estate VRS in Oct last year with CC, black pack, sunset glass, heated VRS leather, mitsumi and auto dimming mirror.

Call from dealer 3.5 weeks ago to so it was on it's way from europe.

Still waiting.... are they pushing the bloody thing over? I find it amazing considering I could've driven it over in two days!!!

Mine waited at Emden for two weeks, then rapidly arrived at dealer about a week later, so your's should be imminent!

Have to chime with many other posts. It's the best "modern" car I've owned. It's fantastic to drive, and I keep making up excuses to go out for a burn!
