February Track Day @ Oulton Park Friday 21st

Featured Replies

After an excellent day in October at OP, does anybody fancy another full day open pit lane at this superb Cheshire venue?

I will be going as Father Christmas delivered some MSV vouchers for such an event.

Names below and I will see if we can arrange an instructor again and a garage.

  • I think so, after replacing the front bush again, changing top mounts, replacing subframe and getting the wheel alignment done 3 times it seems to be "ok" at the moment. Sadly the camber is not as mu

I could be up for this, would give my car a good shake down to see if the overheating has been cured.

I should have it back from shark in Jan.

Would love to James but Santa book me in Saturday 15th match :)

Potentially interested too if there's space available at Chateau Skud?  :D

No can do Fridays.

Richard, nothing is booked yet, could always do the following Tuesday 25th? Would be good to have you there in whatever car you have at the time lol.

I was going to say I'll bring the Yeti then, but a quick google made me realise it's nearly four hours each way.

As much as I like meeting up and getting some track action, driving over seven hours plus the track time is not my idea of fun for a day out.

I'll be knackered.

Must be getting old. :D

I am too Richard - I can only realistically do a day at Oulton if Pete can chuck me on their floor overnight before.

If its a Friday, I'll probably (if allowed :D) stay the night of the trackday to break up the journey back to Devon too.

Hopefully my exhaust manifold will last the day this time....

Stick with the Friday then I guess and see who wants to go over the next week or two

The more the merrier Copey.

Just a thought what if we finally get some snow or ice on track, If we have paid in advance would we get a voucher or our money back?

They'd give you a credit against a future day.

In my experience track day companies don't do refunds.

Track day on my birthday! Shame it's blooming miles away!

For £109 for the full day i'm in (assuming I don't break the car again between now and then) :D

As long as we don't loose our money that's fine.

I'm happy with either day.

I think Pasty had a track day cancelled and got a credit towards another day so we should be fine.

I will be booking my place next week so will be good to see some of you there.

I will also have the usual Jack and tool box etc so you guys travelling further than me can at least travel light.

Possibly interested as a warm up sesh before Combe,

Need to check work diary on the 2nd as Jan Feb are really busy with work travel.

I am booking tomorrow as last year I booked between Christmas and new year and they lost my booking but took the money!  Quickly resolved though but not taking chances this year.

Hmm will be cutting it fine, I'm in Dusseldorf at the start of that week.

Very tempting though, would have preferred not to go on track with road tyres though, especially with near full tread all round.

I have just booked, confirmed and paid, so will be there!

I have also talked a mate of mine into going with his Ford Escort RS 2000 Maxi and I am now trying to talk a customer of mine into taking his Ferrari Scuderia but not successful at this stage!

Sparkly, I have a a set of BBS wheels with part worms on if you want to borrow them?

These are they, on the Fabtastic before how fast last summer.

Really kind offer,

I'll have a think and let you know.  I might have a friend with an R32 that might like to try out his new race cams too.

Indeed i did.

Was booked in to Cadwell in Feb last year and it got cancelled due to snow.

They got in touch early on the morning of the day before and essentially turn your paid fee into a bespoke gift voucher for use at a future event within 12 months - which i redeemed for the Oulton day in Oct.

Possibly interested as a warm up sesh before Combe.

A full day at Oulton as a warm up for 10-12 minutes at Combe?

right oh then :D
