I still have my O/S rear door keyed, i machine polished most out. still visible though

Ever since I bought mine and had stupid problems with stupid parts of the car I have never trusted its reliability. I quite often get tense when driving it due to the unusual noises that it makes from different places. I have also had, to my disgust with myself, work carried out in the past by people that I felt were safe but with hindsight feel should not be working on cars. To sum up, I feel like I have never had a period of time where I have had happy trouble free motoring in it. Motoring journalists that say "oooh you can see the VW build quality" drive me mad. Yes, you can when its new but try driving one at 70k plus miles with all the mechanical and suspension failures that you only seem to get with....oh, German cars. I have to say, I am at a cross roads with mine as to whether to carry on with it or not.

Majority of that is how it's been treated and looked after. 

 

...Funny thing is. Since me and my Girl got together i've had nothing but trouble with someone / people doing things to the car. Nearly 3 years on, i dont think they would stoop that low..

If it's not her ex, I guess she's extremely fit and you're suffering the attentions of jealous idiots.
