Heads up on a nice set of Audi A8 winters. 8x17 ET 42

Featured Replies

Just a heads up for anyone in the Market for a nice wheel. Just a note this is not my ebay or me selling lol.

Just a nice wheel that's well suited to Mk1 Fabia's ect as i run a similar setup and have seen a few others who have.

Audi wheels

Good width and ET. Adapter friendly too.

I've never seen that design of alloy before.

The closed spokes are perfect for winter alloys to minimise the salt, grit and muck getting into the brakes.

If they go for close to the starting bid then they will be had for a bargain.

Wrong PCD for a MKI Fabia (without adapters) though as they are 5x112.

I know, it reads Adapter friendly at the bottom of my post

But granted, i could have written it more clear.

I did see that but thought I would point it out as this then makes them quite dear for a Fabia (as the tyres will be too big also) by the time you have bought adapters.

But should fit an Octy quite well though.

Second hand adapters are cheap and easy to come by. Tyre prices depend on your budget.

I'm not 100% sure what you are comparing costs too.

Like anything, you buy to a budget. If its to expensive then you look elsewhere.

But should fit an Octy quite well though.

8J ... That's going to be really close to the suspension at the front and there's no way you'd ever be able to fit chains.

The 16" winter steels are 6J rather than the 6.5J that's normal to allow slim chains to be fitted.

And how many people fit chains in the UK?

Good point, thought about that afterwards when I noted they were 8J. Shame as a could possibly be had for a good price, but that is probably why as they won't appeal to so many people.

8J fits an Octavia just fine.
