which clutch and flywheel setup vrs

Featured Replies

Hi. Got a vrs 56 plate. Recently fitted a hybrid turbo to it. After my original went pop :( will be getting intercooler amd uprating brake soon but first on the list is clutch and flywheel

I do use this as a daily driver. So ill never be tuning it up to its maximum potential. But I dont hang around in it.

What flywheel and clutch set up does everyone recommend ?

I want to keep the comfort and drivability . So I dont want a raw track style setup. I realise you get what you pay for. But I am not made of money lol. Just an idea what ill need . So I can save uo before it goes

As above, sachs clutch and stock flywheel with a map to take that into account.

Owch. Your right lol

Better buying proper tackle though

Stay away from cheaper stuff imo

Anything but Techniclutch

they are absolute TOSS!!!

You have to be sensible

The sachs is more than double the price of that kit. Thats tells me something straight away!

I wouldnt scrimp when a clutch is involved its a false economy.

I completely agree, buy cheap buy twice.

I was just wondering if anyone had experience with it, seems mega cheap for a 40% over standard capacity of torque handling.

I cannot comment directly but i have seen a few questionable threads on here regarding the quality of those clutch kits.

I have however had a sachs and helix kit and for me i wouldn't look passed them. Yes they are rather expensive but when you get it you know its from a reputable company with a long history and its going to do its job without issue

I bought Darkside's £1200 odd Sachs SRE clutch kit after buying fairly cheap twice and breaking both.  Pleased to report this clutch has lasted a long time, and taken some serious abuse along the way!
