Replacing entire inlet manifold vrs 2010 petrol

Featured Replies

I have been told that my 2010 TSI VRS engine has the flapper motor from 2015 fault diagnosis within the manifold so the whole thing has to be replaced.

I am out of warranty. Anyone done this had this done know the cost and time taken.

I have been told it is a big job :(

Yeah it's quite involved. You may need a complete set of injector seals too if the injectors come out with the manifold.

Maybe 3 hours, mine took me about 4 but I'm not a mechanic and don't have the best tools in the world.

Edit:

Mine was a Tfsi so maybe a little different.

Have just found a small tube is sheered in two just to the right of the inlet so hopefully this is the problem. Fingers crossed.

Thanks I needed the injector seals too. I don't have the time or the skill so gonna pay a SEAT mechanic to fit it all cash.
