Both if it's possible. :)

personally I disagree with them. In terms of little lights taking your eye focus, it distracts from a motorbike. so if your rears are on, and a bile is following you, a narrow bike; the person behind may not distinguish they are there ( the bike obscures one of your tail lights) and you speed up behind and hit them...

 

I think is more dangerous on the front - you might pull out of a junction as you think the car is further away, not realising one of the lights is a bike - way closer than you thought...

The DRLs go out when the sidelights are on.

But with the DRLs and sidelights being in the same bulb.. what is there to gain?.
